hello!! it's been a long time since i've posted anything about the business, but i'm finally making the attempt to get rid of the last bits of stuff i still have here and get the website officially closed for dec 31, so everything must go! all the products have already been marked down, but i set up a code for another 20% off clearance pricing (code: THANKS20). please visit www.mylilsweetpea.ca to shop the remaining inventory. there are still some fab items like Tula baby carriers, cloth diaper keychains, pacifiers, organic cotton toys, wool slippers and Tea Collection clothing up to size 8. thanks sooooo much for all your support of MLSP. i'm starting something new in 2022, so I hope you'll still stick around. 😃
Any other fans here? My kids (and I) got into this game during lockdown this past year+. Checked out the dream island today and it’s so creative! Malls are still closed here, so I guess this is the closest I’ll get until phase 1 of Ontario’s reopening plan starts? 🤣
2020. what a crazy year it’s been. the fall has been particularly difficult for us, but it’s prompted some great heart-to-hearts with my girl. despite the circumstances we find ourselves in, there is still so much to be thankful for. pausing and giving thanks for you today. 🧡
This popped up on my Facebook memories today. Good timing too since I was just thinking about how the kids should be taking on more chores now that they’re older. 😆 And with one in virtual school, she’s home all the time! More time for chores. 😂 How much do you get your kids to do around the house?
When in doubt, be kind. 💕 A friendly reminder for this new season we are in with kids going back to school in whatever form. Parents needing to make tough decisions for their families. Though our choices and opinions may differ from one another, we can choose to be kind and respectful to one another even if our choices don’t look the same. Thinking of you as we embark on a new season!
The FINAL stocking for our popular AppleCheeks inspired diaper keychains is on now! Don’t miss out on your final chance to snag one of these adorable keepsakes! Get yours at https://www.mylilsweetpea.ca/products/applecheeks-inspired-diaper-keychains
Last diaper keychain stocking coming on MONDAY!
Took the kids for a short drive this weekend to get out of the house. Now that has entered Phase 3, there are a lot more people out and about. Let’s hope our numbers don’t spike again! Stay safe, friends! 😷
Anyone else feeling a bit like this after Doug Ford’s announcement yesterday about returning to school in September? I’m really torn about what to do...
Got this combo set from for me and my girl to get into the habit of practicing gratitude daily...an even more important practice during this socially distanced period we are living through. I’m not usually great with keeping up with these daily type projects, but I’m hoping that encouraging my little one to do it will help hold me accountable. 😆
Also pictured, my fave markers from : the dual-tip!
Maybe you need this reminder today too? 💙

We get caught up in the constant act of doing, rarely giving ourselves time to decompress, recharge, and regroup. The result? We're tired, short tempered, and ladened with guilt. So today, we want you to practice pausing, being still, and taking a break before a hard moment overtakes you.⠀
⠀
Are you angry? Pause. ⠀
Are you at your wit's end? Pause.⠀
Are you overwhelmed? Pause.⠀
Are you on the verge of a breakdown? Pause.⠀
⠀
What are you going to pause from today?⠀
Ordered .bare.home for the first time. Decided to give their lime & bergamot hand soap and dish soap a try and it smells incredible! I also really like that it’s Canadian made, eco-friendly and local! Check out this cute at-home refill station. 😉
Anyone else feeling burned out these days? What are some things you do to restore yourself?
This week, I gave myself a few days off from work and gave the kids the week off from doing anything academic...plus extra screen time for all! 😆

Parents: WE DID IT!!! We got through 12 weeks of online learning! I’m not sure who is happier today—me or my kids. Cheers to all of us! Now go and take a much deserved break. ☀️
Took the kids out for our daily post-dinner walk around the neighbourhood and had a slice of pre-covid normalcy with a stop for ice cream at the local plaza. I initially felt weird about the kids sitting at the table and touching stuff and I must’ve given them hand sanitizer a bunch of times and brought our own cutlery...but then just tried to relax and let them enjoy their treat. Strange times we are living in. 😷
This e-book has been circulating around the internet this past week, but I thought I'd share it here as well for those who haven't seen it yet. It's beautifully designed by Lucy Song and contains hands-on activities for kids, as well as a list of children's books on the topics of empathy, activism, and diversity.

So glad I was introduced to this past week. Go check out her amazing artwork!

When we move away from colorism, we move into connectedness. Let’s talk about this more. Healing is possible. 🤎
Who ever would’ve guessed a few months ago that waiting in line at Costco could constitute as me time?! 😷
Love this series of illustrations by . We are well into month three of social distancing and it’s taking its toll on some’s mental health. We definitely have our share of both good and bad days, but I’m working on releasing these high expectations I’ve set up for myself and embracing what is instead. What are you working on nurturing? What are you working on releasing?
Fort building on this rainy Victoria Day. What did you do on this long weekend?
Anyone else feeling this way lately? Mondays and Tuesdays are particularly stressful in our home due to the extra juggling of more work demands on those days. Trying to keep Wednesdays lighter on the work side to help me make it to the weekend with some sanity intact. What are some things you’re finding helpful in preserving your mental health during this covid period?

Anyone else find that April just flew by?! 😂 So, no sign of restrictions lifting here in Ontario just yet. Let’s play “Pick Your Quarantine House”! Which would you pick? I’m leaning towards the beach bungalow cuz I’m so ready for some sun and warmth!!
Week 5 of social distancing DONE! We also got through week 2 of online school for us here in Ontario...and we survived!!! I don't know about you, but this whole online learning thing has been exhausting. Trying to work while also managing the learning of my two kiddos (one of whom has special needs) has me feeling wiped. But we made it through. And Elmo's dad gets it too! Even though we may not be doing it "perfectly" (or even close to that), we are all doing what we can and that is enough. Be gentle with yourselves and stop comparing what you're doing with what you see your parent friends on social media doing. What you're seeing is a minuscule portion of their day...their highlight reel. And most importantly, don't forget to save some time EVERY day for yourself. You can't take care of others if you don't also take care of yourself. You've got this!

Can’t believe it’s already been over a month since we began social distancing in Toronto! In a way, it’s gone by quickly, but in other ways, it’s felt like a lifetime. Online/COVID learning has been so time consuming and exhausting, but we are muddling our way through. I often look for activities either of my kids can do completely on their own without ANY help from me. One of those (for my daughter) are the videos on YouTube! She loves them and I get a break. It’s a win-win! I requested she do this one in particular to go into a COVID journal I am working on. ☺️ What are some independent activities your kids enjoy? Let’s share ideas!
...cuz we could all use some good news. 💕
Happy August!!! How is summer break already half over?! Been filling my summer days as Kid Uber shuttling my two from various activities and camps. Currently sitting poolside watching my kids’ swimming lessons while sipping a cold tea in my special ACxMLSP insulated Klean Kanteen tumbler. How have you been spending your summer?
Anyone else have royal baby fever? AND they plan to cloth diaper and baby-wear?! Just when I thought I couldn’t love these two more! 😄

Inventory Close-Out! You may have noticed, but big changes have been in the works at My Lil Sweet Pea for the last while. It has been a pleasure serving you for the last 9 years, but I have decided to take the business into a new direction and close the retail side of it. What that means is that all of our remaining inv...
Seems like I only make time to take the craft stuff out for holidays. 😆 Spent some time this evening with my girl getting some valentines made for her friends.
I got the starter kit several months back, but hadn’t really dived in and tried them for anything more than diffusing. Saw my son had some weird skin irritation on his cheek today, so trying this oily thing to see if it helps: avocado oil + lavender eo + frankincense eo. Let’s see if this does the trick! Any eo fans out there? What are your fave mixes?
