Our Ontario Pavement Products Group (OPPG) had the privilege of collaborating with our fellow Colas Canada companies in Fort Assiniboine, Alberta. This cold in-place (CIP) recycling project on Highway 33 covered 267,000m2, using 75,000mt of CIP mix and 1,000 litres of emulsion.

As he reflects on his incredible journey, Michael shares, "I started as a mechanic and I have taken on more and more as Miller has grown. I am proud to have been involved in nearly every new plant and plant relocation project, and to have met and worked with so many amazing people."

We are excited to launch our enhanced Miller Service Awards program, recognising the dedication and commitment of our employees at every stage of their journey with us. From 5 years to over 55 years of service, we are proud to celebrate the people who help us in and keep us .

It was fantastic to bring multiple teams together to share in this special moment and recognise the people who make Miller great. We are grateful for all our employees' hard work and dedication. Our Southwestern Ontario pits are a hub of activity! The aggregates from these pits are key materials in the production of asphalt and concrete, both of which play pivotal roles in the roads, bridges and highways that keep Canadians moving.

DID YOU KNOW: that a clean truck is a happy truck?

In addition to the safety and environmental benefits, each Miller Concrete truck is cleaned prior to leaving the yard to demonstrate pride of ownership and operation.

Concrete works great in so many places, but the outside of our trucks isn't one of them!

Rollers are essential in road construction as they ensure surfaces are properly prepared and compacted for durability and safety. This compresses through the weight of its massive drum and in some cases mechanical vibration!

With only 80 days to complete this 20km stretch of road, diligent planning and ex*****on were key for Miller Northwest. This project was a full-team effort to keep Eastern and Western Canada connected on the Vermillion Bay stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway!

The Ontario Stone, Sand & Gravel Association Progressive Rehabilitation Awards recognise ongoing progressive rehabilitation at a site in accordance to the original site plans.

We are thrilled to congratulate Miller's Land Management Team for being awarded the Judges' Choice for their work on our Boyington Pit, and for continuing to demonstrate responsible land stewardship!

Miller North Bay's hot mix is the right mix!

While heated to over 300 degrees, hot mix asphalt (HMA) cools down very quickly making for quick installations. Its durability and flexibility make it an ideal material for many residential uses.

From driveways and residential streets to parking lots and plazas, we’re paving the way in North Bay!

Huron Construction is paving the way in Lambton County and Chatham-Kent.

On this cloudy day, Huron is pushing to lay down 2,000 tonnes of asphalt for a slope and road reconstruction job. With a focus on aggregate production and asphalt paving, if you've driven along Highway 401 from St. Thomas to Windsor, chances are Huron Construction helped get you there!

MILLER IS: Connecting Canada

Our Atlantic operations have been hard at work milling and paving in New Brunswick all the way up to the Confederation Bridge! This 8km project is set to wrap up later this summer, providing a smooth approach for anyone on their way to Prince Edward Island.

Over the past few months, Miller hosted Discovery Days across Ontario and Atlantic Canada, opening our doors to over 600 students from Grades 10 - 12.

What happened during Discovery Days? Students got their hands dirty (literally!) as they explored the world of construction. From building roads and repairing heavy equipment to making concrete, they got to experience it all firsthand.

Why was this important? It highlighted the diverse career opportunities available in the construction sector and demonstrated how Miller can support students in as they pave their way forward within the construction industry.

DID YOU KNOW: Many divisions across Miller use cold in-place recycling (CIR) as a cost-effective and environmentally-conscious alternative to conventional road rehabilitation techniques?

CIR is the process of cold milling and recycling the top 75-150mm of asphalt using a train of machines and equipment. By reusing existing materials, CIR reduces the need to produce new material, resulting in lower cost and fewer greenhouse emissions!

The Lavis CIR train pictured here is capable of achieving up to three kilometres of quality finished road surface per day! All aboard!
