Here’s the thing.. in the coming weeks I’ll be restocking the shop with the last of these clear jars. We are making room for some updates to our candles. Something you’ve never seen before from us. 👀

Hello! It’s been a while and once again candle season is once again upon us. Slowly putting A LOT of inventory back in the shop. Right now, we have a very small amount of Staying In Tonight back in stock in our black tumblers. So if a woodsy scented candle with a hint of mint is your thing, this might be the one for you.

Spent the morning on a nearly 10km hike with my husband in Burlington, before heading out to the market! I must say, this is my first Canada Day celebration at the Bronte Harbour in Oakville and the scene is incredible! Lots of food, music, drinks and fun to be had by all! If you’re in the area, stop in and be sure to say high to Yours Truly at the pop-up market located inside the Legion!

Just letting you know.. I’ll have a shop update next week.. things will be changing a bit.. exciting changes! Oh and of course, some new scents!

I’ll have a limited amount of these gift boxes on-hand so you can fill them up to create your personally curated gift box with our unique and high quality candles! Mother’s Day is right around the corner! 😉

I remember when I first started making candles, as a hobby back in 2017 ish, I just went and bought generic wicks online. I literally cannot tell you what size they were, the style, the length, what capability they had to burn and what best wax they were suited for. Since then, I can say each candle vessel I offer has a different wick! Seriously, the testing for each of these took forever! Years! Testing actually hasn’t stopped. Each new scent gets tested - yes, the same vessel but two different scents *might* mean two different wicks. What’s important is to get the very best performing candle and while the steps seem simple: mix and pour… what happens as a result (based on what the maker is using) is truly what makes or breaks a great candle!

Plan, prep, create. 💫 Now that all weekend orders have been packed up.. back to the making part.

Who remembers these? Well unless you were in my close circle in 2018.. you likely wouldn’t. These were my hobby candles! Despite adding labels (including a warning label) I had no intention of ever taking my candles to market. These were the babies I used to pour as a creative outlet after a long day at work.. back when I lived in Winnipeg! I would never in a million years ever dream of selling these now - I couldn’t tell you what type of soy wax it was, the ratio of fragrance oil or the types of wicks. All materials were bought from Amazon because I wasn’t even aware of suppliers at the time! We all start somewhere and this is where I did.

Market prep! Every weekend from now until Christmas has a market day.. sometimes two.. even three! This weekend we are in Streetsville for their Christmas in the Village. Last year was so much fun and I can’t wait to be here again! It’s outdoors both days.. so fingers crossed the rain stays away!
