I gotta thank my homies and long time friends AridonisMusic and Lowercase Dream - Both AJ and KC have been a huge part of Western Jaguar throughout its history and I owe so much gratitude to both of them.

Additionally, if you have listened to “Oblivion” and have enjoyed the guitar work on “Daydreaming” - welp, it ain’t me, it’s Mr. KC - Oh, and if you enjoyed the guitar, drums or backing vocals on “Matador” and “Doomsday”… well ya, that was AJ. I told you these guys are special!

Day 2 of Gratitude.

Today I’d like to extend my gratitude to Jonathan Hadley! Jonathan has been a huge part of my music the past couple months. I began working on mixing my own stuff and was kinda lost. Jonathan and I had a long chat about essentials that really set me off on a good and clear path. I am very thankful for that.

On top of that, he is also an incredible musician and someone I would highly recommend for fans of artists such as Queens of The Stone Age and Bush.

If that wasn’t enough, he also wrote a lovely piece about the “Oblivion: Remixes” on his website; which is a great hub for his and other indie artists music.

It has been such a crazy year I wanted to set aside December as a month of gratitude. Every day I am gonna personally thank someone who has helped or supported my musical journey this year.

I know I can't thank everyone who has listened personally, so this was my next best idea.

To kick off, I have to start off with my main man, Davis (SLOUCH). Davis jumped back in with me immediately when I told him I wanted to make a new Western Jaguar album. He mixed the album and helped bring the songs to completion. Without Davis, "Oblivion" doesn't sound as good as it does nor do the songs turn out the same way.

The reception to Oblivion continues to blow me away. I continue to meet so many amazing people through this project and it moves me so much to connect with you all. I did not know what to expect when I released this album… but I know for a fact I did not expect or imagine the love and support I’ve seen. I am so grateful and it has motivated me so much to continue on this musical journey. So thank you for fueling that fire in me! I am astonished to look at the amount of people who have brought this album into their lives.

UPDATE: We are officially under 4 weeks away from the deadline for the "Oblivion: Remixes" compilation. Been loving the submissions so far and cannot wait to hear what else rolls in over the next few weeks.

October 31 at Midnight PST is going to be the hard deadline as my goal is to have the album released by mid-November. Late submissions will not be accepted so make sure they are in on time!

Western Jaguar - Oblivion



"Oblivion" is an album that was almost never completed. Arriving 6 years after its predecessor "Memorial," the 9 tracks that make up "Oblivion" were pieces of lost ideas, re-built and re-worked to cement the start of a new era for Western Jaguar.

"Oblivion" presents a natural flow from start to finish, kicking off with the spacey, atmospheric and emotional pair of "Start Again" and "Milwaukee" before getting into the straight ahead indie rock tune "Matador." Following this opening trio, Western Jaguar explores elements of guitar driven indie pop ("Doomsday", "Better Daze", "Darling") as well as diving deeper into emotional and atmospheric soundscapes ("Daydreaming", "Just Racing") before fading away with the subtle wash of keys in "Phases"

There is something for the rocker, the indie popper or the psychedelic music lover within "Oblivion" - All you need to do is click play and dive on in.
