Z-bars (a.k.a Subgirts or Z-girts ) are used as the continuous attachment system for panels. Made from Galvanized steel, they come in different thicknesses (Gauges 16 or 18 Most commonly), allowing ACM panels to be installed onto dense surfaces such as Stone, Brick, Metal, Concrete, Stucco, without any need of removal, reframing or rebuilding process.
Depending on the thermal requirement of the project, Z-bars can accommodate to different thicknesses of rigid insulation, such as Semi-rigid, or spray-applied exterior insulation and have the rain-screen cladding panels installed directly to itself.
