Our series, Light of the Oppressed, is an urgent call to shedshine light on the injustice and suffering that plagues our brothers and sisters around the world. This is more than a series of posts; it is a collective effort to educate ourselves, raise awareness, and take meaningful action against oppression. Our goal is to document a history of suffering and reignite our collective spirit for justice.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or the oppressed.” When asked how to help an oppressor, he replied, “By preventing him from oppressing others.” (Sahih Bukhari) This hadith teaches us that standing against the actions of the Israeli occupation is not only a political stance but an Islamic obligation.
