We have so many new products arriving all the time from Europe… here’s a small handful of our latest additions!

Let’s talk about the prestigious San Marzano tomato. These jewels are grown in. Specific region of Italy: the Agro Sarnese Nocerino of the Sarno River valley near Mount Vesuvius, where volcanic soils are said to produce sweeter, less acidic tomatoes. True San Marzano tomatoes are grown here and are so special that they’re given official status as a “protected designation of origin” or D.O.P. (Denominazione d’Origine Protteta). The low moisture content combined with mild acidity of San Marzano tomatoes creates a sweet, rich, complex and jammy flavour. We think it’s worth the hype to spend a little bit more to get these special tomatoes when we really want to highlight the flavour of tomatoes.

It’s pretty clear we love a little spicy kick with our food… we have a wonderful selection of BOMBA to choose from! Bomba is a hot pepper sauce made from chili peppers from Calabria and oil. Some of these sauces contain vegetables such as artichokes and eggplant and a they have a slight vinegary kick. It’s a great condiment to add to pasta, pizza, soup and sandwiches!
