Our hālau’s foundation started 7 years ago built around ‘OHANA. When you join Lei’ala, not only do you learn hula and ori and the Polynesian culture, but you gain a family who will welcome and embrace you from the start.

On Family Day weekend we usually close hālau to give our haumāna time to spend with their family and loved ones. But this year, we decided to host our first ever Fundraising Workshop. To say it was a HUGE SUCCESS is an understatement. We had over 25 Kāne and Keiki Kāne come out, have fun and learn some hula. And everyone was amazing! Most of these guys were completely out of their comfort zones but they brought down hālau and WOW’d us with their performance! 🤗

We want to MAHALO everyone who attended and gave their kāko’o (support)! Lei’ala was started on the basis of FAMILY and what better way to spend this weekend than with our ‘Ohana Hula.
