We are delighted to welcome Nokha Dakroub to our Ontario Family Mediation department in Ontario.

Nokha Dakroub is a certified Family Mediator, Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with over 10 years of combined experience in hospitals, primary care and community settings. She practices from a trauma informed eclectic approach employing tools from multiple modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Nokha has a long-standing commitment to supporting our community and advocating for systemic change. She was elected in 2014 as a Public School Board Trustee for Wards 9 and 10 in Mississauga and served for eight years from 2014-2022. Nokha led the charge to increase support for special education, advance numerous infrastructure projects, and is widely regarded as a champion for equity issues for children in the school system. She is the founder of Better Space. Nokha speaks English and Arabic, and is excited to assist our Ontario clients needing family mediation services.

Our Story

Rahmat Masjid, (مسجد رحمة للعالمين), was founded on March 23rd, 2000 by Sarfraz Hussain Bajwa and his family upon the instruction of his blessed Mother, The Late Rahmat Bibi, (Wazir Begum), Allah Almighty’s mercy be upon her.

A South Korean Church was running at the premises of 205 North Service Road, Mississauga for many years prior to Rahmat Masjid’s inauguration. It took two years to finalize the purchase from the Church. The purchase was generously financed by The Late Rahmat Bibi, RA, Sarfraz Hussain Bajwa and his family.

Hafiz Hussain Dhooma, RA, was the Founding Imam of the Masjid and he served for two years after which he battled a terminal illness and passed away.

The Masjid presently houses The Miftahul Quran Academy lead by Qari Abdul Rahman Ingar, a student of Hazrat Qari Siddiqui Fallahi. 43 Huffaz have been produced at this academy to date alhamdulillah! The Academy runs from Monday to Friday from 8am to 2pm and every Sunday morning. Students attend from as far as Hamilton and Milton!
