Wowsers! In just 24 hours, we have had requests for school supplies for 215 children. We are determined to fill as many of these requests as possible, together with the Peter McKee Community Food Centre , but we currently don't have nearly enough supplies to do it. Want to help? You can drop off school supplies at Jim's Bike Shop - 200 Halifax St before Thursday of next week (they are open M-F 9am-5pm & Sat 9am-3pm) Don't have time to shop, but still want to help? You can e-transfer to [email protected] and we will purchase the items we are missing :)

An unexpected, generous donation of school supplies has alerted us to the fact that an organization that used to do school supplies has been unable to this year.
We are excited to announce that we are partnering with Peter McKee Community Food Centre in an effort to fill this need.

If you would like to donate school supplies, please drop off at Jim's Bike Shop - 200 Halifax St from Monday to Friday 10-5 or Saturday from 10-3. We will be accepting donations until Thursday, September 5th.

So far our Peter McKee Rotary Community Garden has PRODUCED 246 pounds of food for the Centre (and its clients) including: Rhubarb, Lovage, Spinach, Chives, Radish, Kale, Chard, Raspberries, Strawberries, Haskap Berries, Lettuce, Beet Greens, Peas, Garlic, and Celery...AND WE ARE JUST GETTING STARTED...
