This huge tree is a landmark for us in the winter while snowshoeing. It's now in 3 pcs on the ground. I measured it at apx 120' and over 5' diameter at the base. Must have been majestic in its day!

Our Story

Frug Survival Gear is the Fashionable wearable emergency/Survival gear you have with you when it’s needed. Frug Survival Gear makes 3 products all with it’s own Frug Survival kit inside each unit. First is the Lanyard, use as a key chain, hang from your back pack or any other gear. Second is the Bracelets fashionable and functional. and last is the Bow wrist sling. All products have my Frug Survival Gear Kit inside. Build a shelter, start a fire to boil water, call for help with the 120 decibel pea-less whistle, repair a wound with the fist aide tinder or use the compass for direction. the Kit includes, 25’ fishing wire, 2 hooks, 2 split shot weights, 1 swivel connector, 2 safety pins, 1 paper clip,2 4” cable ties, 1 cotton ball, 2 storm-proof matches with a phosphate striker, all wrapped in a 4”x 3” piece of paper and then inserted into a water proof balloon(doubles as a bober). The Frug Buckle on the Bracelet and lanyards has a 120 Decibel rated pea-less emergency whistle, a ferro rod and a serrated knife/striker, and a compass. I finish the ends where the para cord meets the buckle with ranger bands, these are fire accelerators and provides a neat place to hide the first aide tinder. The Para cord itself is 550 pound rated and is antibacterial, and has 7 inner strands to give you 70 additional feet of cordage for traps, shelter making or extra fishing line.
