Apple Valley pendant and necklace, from rough to little treasure.

Magical, rare Apple Valley agates from Morocco, reminding me of sunny spring days with flowering apple trees and white puffy clouds. 925 silver, 10k sold and 14k gold-filled accents. Tourmaline and pink quartz. Iridescence and light : black irradiated perl and 925 silver with rainbow patina.

Playing withe fire, literally. I cut this magnificent Mexican fire opal and created Hido (from scarlet-fore-red in Japanese) copper patina to match, using an ancient technique with super high heat flame, bringing the copper almost to the melting point, quenching it in boiling liquids… feeling like a magician manipulating, not without fear, Nature’s strongest elements.

Decisions, decisions… Gold or silver? I cut this rare Apple Valley agate from Morocco and want to mount them into earrings. What do you think?

My talented fried has created this necklace and I cut a custom little crazy lace agate for it. I love these creative collaborations, especially with a a dear friend, so much more satisfying and meaningful than wearing standard jewelry.

I cut this outstanding, rare Turkish flower agate to catch a maximum of light and showcase all its glorious translucency. I get lost staring at this mesmerizing world inside it, like a dragon’s eye staring right back at me. Large 16mm x 18 mm x 8mm high-dome cabochon, displayed in a hand-carved, casted 925 silver statement ring, both hand polished to a glossy liquid finish. Lapidary and silver work by yours truly

New project : Mexican Crazy Lace agate in rough calcite matrix, 925 silver, 24k gold keum boo… shall it be a pendant, or can I find a match for earrings?

Finally finished the silversmithing for two of my rectangular Blue Mountain cabochons. 925 silver boxes inlay setting, hammered gingko details. 16mm x22mm x4mm calibrated Blue Mountain jasper. All done by yours truly, with love and lots of patience 🙂
