We launched a whole new web experience for Pineapple — a new website built for a brand that sweetens the mortgage experience.

🎯 The Goal: Create an intuitive, dual-purpose website that simplifies the mortgage process while empowering users with transparent information and tools.

🛠️ The Results:
- Developed a flexible, user-friendly CMS using Sanity, customized specifically for Pineapple Financial’s dynamic content needs.
- Integrated dual website versioning within a single framework, complete with customizable colour schemes for distinct user paths for Homeowners and Brokers
- Launched over 25 bespoke modules, giving the Pineapple team the freedom to craft an unlimited number of web pages tailored to their marketing strategies.
- Embedded tools like mortgage calculators and live interest rates to enhance user interaction and decision-making.
- Implemented a powerful Algolia-based search module to navigate through thousands of resources with ease.

We are currently looking for a Montreal-based front-end developer to help us build best-in-class e-commerce websites on Shopify.

The job will see you working closely with our UX/UI designers and Technical Lead to bring their designs to life, creating exceptional e-commerce experiences: from high-converting homepages to perfectly crafted product pages. We are a fun and easy-going team with a strong work ethic and hope to find someone who will fit right In.

Specifics:

- Hours: Full-time position, Monday – Friday, 9-5pm (Flexible)
- Location: Based in Montreal, ability to work in our office in Little Italy, with the option to be remote certain days of the week
- Language: Fluent in English, French is a plus
- Pay: Based on skills and experience, ranging from $55-$70,000 CAD.
- Team: Working under the guidance of our Creative Director and Lead Developer

What we're looking for:

- 3 years experience in front-end development
- Excellent knowledge of modern cross-browser HTML5+, ES6+ and CSS3+ (SCSS)
- Experience building high-quality, responsive layouts and with smooth interactions, transitions, and animations
- Ability to apply best practice modular web development
- Fluency with version control and Git flows
- Fluency in interpreting and working with third-party APIs
- Awareness of the most established libraries, their ecosystems and how to choose between them
- Awareness of web performance best-practice, developing for accessibility and SEO
- Experience with cross-browser and device testing websites
- Experience working within agile environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
