Today I am presenting my workshop on Automatic Art.
A method Ive used and love for many years.
Time and time again Ive ben struck and surprised by what it has revealed to me. And the subconscious languages that have emerged for me.

Acrylic on canvas came out of my automatic art practices I categorize tvis as a Magical Realism style that comes out of my subconscious.

As a latinx woman in Canada who came here as a refugee, I feel I still have much to unlock in the depth of my being to make art with.

Un genre d'automatisme thématique est née.
L'idée unique de dessiner une grosse, tres grosse robe était la seul chose dans ma tête. D'elle est née peu a peu le reste et quel satisfaction!!.

Being self-employed is really what I prefer. But it's certain that I can get anxious and depressed if things arent flowing, working, coming as I had hoped.
Over the years I have come to accept that I'm not a "normal" person. The reason I never keep a job when I work for others is, I have come see, that I get exhausted masking to present as more "normal", a survival mechanism that had been necessary but horrible as well because I am bothered by my lack of authentisity.
I see now that I am really scared that if I don't mask that people won't like me or care for me. A subsequent of my deep abandonment issues.
So I end up leaving any good job I've found ubable to continue this charade. Get back to self-employed but then my sens of inadequacy creeps in and I get depressed and anxious again.
So either way I have to deal with those emotions, but being self-employed is less constant masking my wied wonderful self so less tiring.
Here in the pics I'm sitting in different places getting my mind to find some silence, by writing, contemplating or therapising myself to a bit more clarity. These ways have saved my life.
Last night my brain was a fn war zone or worse aJoeRogan pod cast. Eventually I found some silence. It was awesome that feeling of contrast between the two. OUF !!
What relief to know I know how to find that Silence even for 10 wonderous Seconds.
The work is starting to come back in.

So I've been working some things out. Some sadness came with it. I remember how much I used to cry when I was a child.
Being sensitive was not an applauded ability. So I suppressed for survival. It worked I'm here.
But as I grow out of this fear and reluctance to express, of being "too much" for the repressed, I know that I'm accessing a larger spectrum of emotions and that I am not stuck in any. Thats the blooming coming.
The old me struggles sometimes but its too late change is upon me.




Des pas interne se font pour moi et des tristesses en resortes. Enfant je pleurais souvent tu vois. Mais cette sensibilité effrayant les autres j'ai appris à réprimer pour survivre. Même si ça fonctionne et je suis toujours là, il est maintenant temps de laisse cette peur de l'exprimer. Oui certain trouveront possiblement que c'est trop. Mais je sais que si ont coupe une partis du spectrum d'émotions d'autres deviennent inaccessible également. Alors un plus grand éventail de sens s'ouvre à moi. Et je fleuri. Au revoir à la version antérieure merci je suis prêt a voir plus loin maintenant.
