The final weekly playlist of our Black History Month series illuminates black empowerment. We featured iconic artists who deliver messages of hope, strength, and positivity, through the beautiful medium of music. It celebrates black identity - of all genders, orientations, creeds, and beliefs - and makes for a moving soundtrack for your day, every day.

The third weekly playlist of our Black History Month series is a musical expression of class and currency. The artists featured make a commentary on the power of money: having it, not having it, the economic struggles and obstacles it creates, and the hustle it takes to rise up from the bottom. In the spirit of Wu-Tang Clan’s "C.R.E.A.M.," here are some songs that reflect on what makes the world go around (right after love).

Up close and personal, from a distance.
The second weekly playlist of our Black History Month series features music that speaks to the state of our environment. It is an amplification of the love we have for our planet and our fight to take action against forces that threaten its beauty; climate change, the pollution of our air and our oceans, global warming, and so forth. These voices convey a hope for a more sustainable world.

This is a story about vulnerability, family, and mental health.
Last October, the WRG crew was sent to the Côte-Nord up on the coast of Québec. Our aim was to capture the experiences of men who faced loss in all forms - prostate cancer, homelessness, depression - and came out stronger.
The Hommes Atout project was born from the realization of the lack of real specialized help for older men in the region. Funded by Movember, it launched as an initiative to bring men in need together, and served as a community outlet to help them open up, heal, and build together, “coude à coude”.
This director’s cut shares the complete story. The faces, voices, and hidden gems along the way, and the breathtaking landscape of our province.
