Our Story
Max D. is a Montreal music producer, recordist and mixer who has run his own Montreal recording studio since 2010 and has worked on a variety of projects ranging from punk rock to jazz, pop rock to Americana and children's musicals. He's developed a reputation among his clients as a passionate, reliable and dedicated contributor to the project at hand while being easy and pleasant to work with.
The Bad Harvest Recording Company is nestled in a welcoming and potent three room studio. Acoustically designed by renowned studio acoustician John H. Brandt, the rooms feature impeccable purpose-built acoustics suitable for all manners of sound recording. A lounge is also available for guests. Located at the heart of the vibrant borough of Rosemont, the studio is easily accessible to artists, recording engineers and corporate clients, providing them with a professional and welcoming work environment. The available equipment has been tailored to best serve projects ranging from voice-over recordings to full band sessions. Long distance mixing services are also available.
Residing in the control room is a 32 channel Harrison 950m console. Hand built in Nashville TN, this desk is the pinnacle of analog design and embodies the philosophy behind the studio. Combined with the highest quality microphones on hand, this console provides the richest and most sonically satisfying recording and mixing experience. Unmatched in its class, purpose built acoustic design and the highest quality equipment deliver world class recordings rivalling those of the biggest studios.
