We wish you all a happy end of semester! We have loved serving you this year. Our dining halls close down April 30 but we hope to see you next year! You can always purchase a one time pass to our AYCTE dining halls for breakfast, lunch or dinner. In the fall we’ll also start offering package deals.

Get your food cycler fertilizer at NRH for all your green thumb projects. You can ask for a container from the hostess station at the dining hall. Keep in mind that the container is reusable and that the fertilizer should be kept at room temperature this will ensure its preservation up to year.

We have too many favourite memories from this year. A few highlights:

• Launching the AYCTE plan
• Mac Farm field trip
• Holiday events, particularly the cookie decorating
• Smiling faces
• all the fun times/laughs had with the food service family at McGill

We are officially Silver certified by ! This is huge news as we have now become the second university in Canada to achieve this status. Come celebrate with us at Redpath on April 8th at 2pm with free Fairtrade coffee and sweets (limited quantities)!

How did we achieve silver status?

-all dining halls and retails locations now offer a fairtrade sugar option

- tea from dining halls and retails is fairtrade certified

- retail locations now have three choices of fairtrade chocolate bars

- dining locations offer fairtrade banana and shredded coconut

Our baker on the hill, Paul, has whipped up some festive cupcakes for all you dining hall peeps. Made with a lot of love. Enjoy!

We are at NRH giving away so strawberry plants from and Foodcycler fertilizer which is made from your food waste. You can add a teaspoon of fertilizer to your house plants every 6-8 weeks. Be sure to mix the fertilizer well into the soil. You can also use it for your gardens, or other green thumbs projects. DM us if you’d like to take some Foodcycler fertilizer home!
