The Aifred Health team is very proud to announce the extension of our research relationship with the US Government and US Dept. of Veterans Affairs (VA) with the addition of four new clinical trial sites:
VA Cincinnati, OH
VA Gainesville, FL
VA Philadelphia, PA
VA Phoenix, AZ

We are honored to be working closely with the VA on the path to commercialization of our novel, AI-based treatment selection platform, designed to relieve the significant burden suffered by patients with complex mental health conditions. Over 1.7 million Veterans received mental health services at VA healthcare facilities last year: https://www.va.gov/health-care/health-needs-conditions/mental-health/

With the addition of these sites, the VA becomes the largest group in the US arm of Aifred’s ongoing clinical trial, scheduled to complete next year.

The Medical Device Single Audit Program (MDSAP) allows a single audit of a medical device company to be applied to 5 countries: Canada, USA, Japan, Australia and Brazil. Achieving the MDSAP certification for the US and Canadian markets confirms our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards for AI-enabled software as medical device in mental health.

Aifred Health is proud to announce it has been granted its first patent!

This US patent protects Aifred’s award-winning AI technology, developed to guide treatment selection for diseases where multiple therapeutic options are approved for treatment, but individual response to treatment options varies. Having built up a strong IP pipeline, we look forward to further patents in the future.

Aifred Health is very pleased to welcome Dr. Sandra Stratford to its Board of Directors.

Based in Boston, Dr. Stratford brings a wealth of experience to the Aifred Board. Dr. Stratford is a physician executive trained in internal medicine, occupational medicine and digital health, and an expert in corporate occupational health, environmental health and safety, global public health risk mitigation, and well-being (wellness, worklife and EAP (Employee Assistance Programs)). As a former Fortune 100 Chief Medical Officer, she has spearheaded innovative employee health and well-being initiatives for global companies, including Raytheon, IBM, and Exxon Chemical. She understands the importance of access to quality mental health services in the workplace and the community and brings vast experience in service evaluation, selection and implementation.

Dr. Stratford currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and is an inaugural member of the Health Equity Council of BlueCross BlueShield Massachusetts.

During the pandemic, we've seen steep rises in rates of depression. Aifred Health's technology has been used by physicians to significantly improve quality of care and outcomes for patients suffering this burden.

Our team spent seven months studying the impact of our tool in primary care clinics during this time, comparing an Active group (using the tool) vs Control group (treatment as usual).

The results were even better than we'd hoped:

- 7x more patients reached minimal symptom levels when our tool was used in their care
- 52% reduction in appointment lengths
- And, importantly, 50% of patients reported that using our tool actually improved their relationship with their doctor (despite shorter appointment lengths)
