During an AMAZING session with .studio_ last week, the facilitator asked me ´WHAT SOCIAL IMPACT YOU WANT TO CREATE?’ This question got me thinking!

I work Captivating Hearts and Minds through Visual Notes 😎 and I have struggled to explain the reaction I get from people about my work until today! I read an article about the difference between Feelings, Emotions and Affect!
I think AFFECT is the word I have been looking for! That reaction beyond rational… that authentic reaction in the moment you experience something.

The power is in your hands!” I initially started saying that to people who told me that they do not know how to draw… but yesterday I listened to an episode of from and I realized that this phrase was way more powerful than I thought 😎! I also have the power to be unapologetically me! To create my own path (even if others think it is not possible) and hopefully inspired others to do the same. So I will be wearing this jacket I painted and that I have not worn enough scared that it would be too much. I will also be trying things I was scared of trying in the past! Would you like to try this together? 🙋🏻‍♀️What would you like to try and have not attempted because you are scared? 👇🏼

DRAW MORE! Believe it not, I struggle finding time to ✏️ draw just for fun! And it recharges me SO much 🤩 so I am trying to block at least 15 mins a day every day to push my self to try new mediums, new shapes, new fonts!

Even after several years as a scribe, a white canvas seems intimidating at times but once I do the first stroke I get into a magical bubble 💡 and my attention is 100% on the speaker so I can listen to their emotions, repetition and emphasis. What would you like to know about my creative process? 👇🏼 let me know here

Grateful is what I feel to be able to call Canada my home. But this year is different… today I am torn between celebrating what this amazing country has given me, and reflecting about the harm done to indigenous people and the existing innequities. I reflect about what my role can be to create awareness and share messages through my visuals about injustice, discrimination and inequality. I am aware about my priviledge to call this land home, and celebrate and reflect about how we could co-create a better future for all. Happy Canada Day!

Creatives processes are never linear, and often involve obstacles in the road 🤷🏻‍♀️ The way I see it, obstacles can be a ‘reason’ to stop a project, or an opportunity to explore other ways of doing things. This picture is Matias after ‘ruining’ my painting (second picture), his face of excitement about his colourful hand is priceless! I have to admit I thought about painting over and starting all over again, and then 💡I followed his lead and continued his process and the 3rd picture was the end result!
