We live and breathe sustainability—beyond our really strong tights. That’s why we prioritize local designers, sustainable garments, and second-hand clothing as the styling for our brand campaigns.

Our parent company, , has adopted a vertical integration model at our North American factory. But what exactly is vertical integration and why is it important?

Implementing vertical integration in our factory means that every step of the production process, from the early stages product development to final stages of packaging and fulfillment, happens under our our own roof. Ensuring that we have full visibility and control over the supply chain removes the “middle-men” and provides full transparency on how our products, like tights, are made.

En tant qu'Opérateur(rice) de tricot, sous la responsabilité du chef d'équipe de production, vous serez chargé de travailler avec les machines à tricoter circulaires Maltec, Lonati et Santoni.

Responsabilités

- Enfiler le fil pour corriger les doigts ou les ruptures de tension à l'aide de crochets ou d'autres outils ;
- Installer, utiliser et entretenir les machines à tricoter circulaires ;
- Observer le tricotage pour détecter les ruptures de fil, les paquets de fil usés et les défauts de tricotage ;
- Corriger les défauts de tricotage et effectuer des contrôles de qualité en fonction des erreurs indiquées ;
- Attache les bouts de fil cassés ;
- Nettoyer, huiler, lubrifier les machines selon les besoins ;
- Effectuer des contrôles de qualité ;
- Monter la tête de fil
- Nettoyer et enfiler le dévidoir.
- Peut effectuer les changements de 1 à 2 aiguilles simples.

Exigences

- Peut rester debout pendant 12 heures et marcher pendant de longues périodes.
- Peut lever les bras à plus de 90 degrés
- Peut soulever des articles jusqu'à 10KGs
- Ne pas être daltonien
- Être à l'aise avec les tablettes
- Être à l'aise pour travailler avec de l'huile et dans un environnement huileux (nous pouvons fournir des lunettes de protection ou un écran facial si nécessaire !)
- Vous êtes à l'aise pour travailler dans un environnement bruyant (nous fournissons des bouchons d'oreille !).
- Vous êtes à l'aise pour travailler dans un environnement où la température varie entre 19 et 22 °C.

Who are you?

As the Knitting Operator, reporting to the Production Shift Lead, you will be responsible for working with Maltec, Lonati and Santoni circular knitting machines.

Responsibilities

- Thread yarn to correct fingers or tension breaks using hooks or other tools;
- Set-up, operate & maintain circular knitting machines;
- Observes knitting to detect yarn breaks, used up yarn packages, and knitting defects;
- Correct knitting defects and perform Quality checks as per error indicated;
- Ties broken yarn ends;
- Clean, oil, lubricate machines as appropriate;
- Quality assurance checks;
- Mount the head of thread
- Clean and thread the unifeeder.
- Can perform changes from 1 to 2 single needles.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Can stand for 12 hours and walk for long periods of time
- Can lift their arms past 90 degrees
- Can lift items up to 10KGs
- Not color blind
- Comfortable with tablets
- Comfortable working with Oil and in an oily environment (we can provide goggles/face shield if needed!)
- Comfortable working in a noisy environment (we provide earplugs!)
- Comfortable working in an environment between 19C and 22C.
- Comfortable with scissors and working with needles
- Acceptable to receiving orders / fast paced workflow
- Bilingual - at least french minimum
