Hey Soulfam! ✨

I wanted to share something fascinating that’s been happening with me lately. My thighs, hip flexors, and shins have been feeling tight for the past week, and I couldn't figure out why. Then it hit me—my body was already sensing the shift into late summer, a time for grounding and nourishment.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this season is all about the Earth element, focusing on the spleen and stomach, which are key to nourishing and transforming our energy. It’s like our baseline frequency, the rhythm that keeps us balanced and in tune with our true selves.

In human design, the spleen is where we find self-actualization, health, intuition, and well-being. It's where we process life's experiences and let go of what doesn’t serve us. But sometimes, we get stuck in the 'yuk, muk, and WTF' of worry, and it shows up in our bodies, asking to be released.

In astrology, we move into Virgo season, August 21, and this is the earth element, connected to Mercury traditionally, however, I tend to lean more to our actual Mother Earth for this placement.

This is the perfect time to focus on our baseline frequency, and nurture ourselves through our beliefs, behaviors, and who we are becoming.

As a soul-led, body-attuned entrepreneur, teacher, and guide, I'm excited to explore this journey with you. Let's ground ourselves and sweeten (pun intended) the pot with some astrology and Human Design energetic alignment.

As I was walking today, I kept getting the message "baseline frequency," and ding ding ding, it is all coming together! But I got more questions, hahah, as the sun is in Gate 4 of answers in traditional human design, the earth is in Gate 49 of revolution, and my body is SCREAMING for this, with love and acceptance of course.

Well, I am off to hit the mat, and do a restorative yin yoga practice for the spleen and stomach to honor my body and the earth element. I am working on my 5 element yin yoga certification, as I want to bring more somatic practices to my life and the Soulprism Membership.

I was just listening to the Identity Center (Calibration center in QHD) this morning and felt so much love. Then I opened my messages, and even more love was poured in by clients, Soulprism community members, fellow collabs and friends.

I didn't always feel loved, though. In fact, I had a lot of body shame in my childhood and teenage years.

I was always bigger than my family members, and I was shamed for it. I had a JLo b***y when Kate Moss was all the rage.

During family gatherings, I would get the kids together and we would create a play for the adults.

My mom, (I love her, she did the best she could with her own circumstances and conditioning) would be mortified, that I was always seeking attention, many times in the "wrong" way.
I spent most of my life thinking I wasn't thin enough, smart enough, ambitious enough, and straight up wierd!

I have done a lot of healing in my 40's, and a lot of it was thanks to Karen, becoming certified in Quantum Alignment, doing things I love anyway (like Spartan Races and Tough Mudder) and being asked multiple times to model and show off my body!

This gate is called, Retelling in traditional human design, Privacy in Quantum Human Design™ and Retreat in the I Ching.

I have been writing about human design gates since 2020, Every year, I connect to the energy and ask how it wants to be written. I repurposed the old content that I wrote, while adding in something new. This year, I felt a call home to my shamanic practices such as Qi Gong, connecting to nature, and going deep into meditation to find the answers.

Have you heard of the famous Hero's Journey written by Joseph Campbell? This story is also shared through the major arcana of the tarot. In fact, I created a mini course so you can journal and write your own story of transformation.

Our stories are more than just tales; they’re sacred threads woven into our very DNA and aura. They shape who we are and who we can become.

Think of them as keys to unlocking our true selves, free from the conditioning and limitations we’ve been fed. Some of us are the keepers of these stories, holding them close until the moment is right to share and transform them.

But let’s get real for a sec – many of us hide within our stories. We become sisters and brothers of circumstance, believing we’re trapped.

We seek validation from others, staying stuck in a loop of our own perceived limitations. Or worse, we provoke others until anger bubbles up, feeding the cycle of the victim story.

Here’s the kicker, though – we can choose to tell a new story. Just like the Hero’s Journey, we can zoom out, take an eagle’s eye view, and see that hope, choice, and new paths are there if we’re brave enough to take them. This new path is full of twists and turns, but it calls us out of our comfort zone, urging us to conquer our fears and discover our true worth.....continued on the soulprism blog
