Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Heavenly Father,
We gather as a church family, bringing our hearts and lives before You in gratitude and hope. You have called us together, each with our unique gifts and stories, to be a part of this community that seeks to glorify Your name.
We thank You for the bonds of love and fellowship that unite us. Help us to be a living testament to Your grace and truth, showing kindness, compassion, and understanding to one another. May we support each other in times of need, rejoice together in times of celebration, and continually encourage each other to grow in faith and love.
Guide our leaders with wisdom and discernment as they shepherd this congregation. Grant them strength and vision to lead us in ways that honor You and further Your kingdom. May they be instruments of Your peace and justice, teaching us to walk humbly with You.
Fill our gatherings with Your Spirit, that we might be nourished and renewed in our worship, and equipped to serve the world in Your name. Open our hearts to hear Your word and to respond with obedience and joy.
We offer this prayer, committing our church family to Your care and keeping. Use us, O Lord, to shine Your light in our community and beyond, that others might see and know Your love through us.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, we pray. Amen.
Psalm 42 paints a vivid picture of deep longing and desire for God. The psalmist compares this yearning to a deer thirsting for water—an image that captures an intense and essential need. Just as water is vital for a deer's survival, so too is our relationship with God vital for our spiritual well-being.
In our fast-paced lives, it’s easy to let our relationship with God become just one more thing on our to-do list. But what if we approached our time with God like the psalmist, with an intense desire and longing? What if we sought Him as desperately as a deer seeks water?
This longing reflects a heart that recognizes its dependency on God. It’s about understanding that nothing else can satisfy the deepest needs of our souls but God Himself. In times of dryness or difficulty, our natural inclination should be to draw closer to God, knowing that He is our source of life, strength, and joy.
Application:
Reflect on your current relationship with God. Do you find yourself longing for His presence, or has your spiritual life become routine? Consider ways you can deepen your desire for God and prioritize time in His presence.
Identify practices that help you draw nearer to God, whether it’s prayer, worship, reading Scripture, or simply spending quiet time with Him. Commit to making these a regular part of your life.
Community is essential, and that’s why we’re looking forward to seeing you at church tomorrow at 10:30am! Invite a friend!
This is good news for every one of us. He never gives up on us and He lavishes us with His forgiveness. Do you need a second chance today? Go to God. He is the God of the second chance.
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for you souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-29

Heavenly Father,
We lift up to You those who are experiencing pain, whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual. You are the God of all comfort, and we ask for Your healing presence to surround and uphold them in their time of need.
Grant them relief, O Lord, from the burdens they carry. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds as they navigate the challenges before them.
For those in physical pain, we ask for healing and restoration. Guide the hands of their caregivers and medical professionals, and grant them wisdom to know the best course of treatment.
For those in emotional pain, we ask for Your comfort and solace. Surround them with loving support and remind them of Your steadfast love, even in the midst of their struggles.
For those in spiritual pain, we ask for clarity and hope. Reveal to them Your presence and remind them of Your promises, that they may find strength and encouragement in You.
We offer this prayer, trusting in Your compassionate heart and infinite power. May those in pain find refuge in Your arms and know that they are not alone.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.
In Matthew 19:14, Jesus makes a profound statement about the nature of His kingdom. When the disciples tried to prevent children from coming to Him, Jesus corrected them, emphasizing that the kingdom of heaven belongs to those who are like children. But what does it mean to have a childlike hope?
Children embody a unique blend of trust, innocence, and hopeful anticipation. They approach the world with wonder, believing that good things can happen and that they are loved and protected. This is the kind of hope and faith Jesus invites us to embrace.
When we come to Jesus with childlike hope, we acknowledge that we are not in control and choose to trust in His goodness and faithfulness. We learn to depend on God, confident that He is at work in our lives even when we can't see the full picture. This hope is not naive but grounded in the reality of who God is—a loving Father who knows what we need and cares for us deeply.
Application:
Think about areas in your life where you need to embrace a childlike hope. Are there situations where you've become cynical or lost sight of God's goodness? Ask God to help you see through the eyes of a child, filled with trust and anticipation of His work in your life.
Consider spending time with children in your life or reflecting on your own childhood experiences. What can you learn from their perspective on hope and trust?
