Those who know me know how much I love to sneak out in my kayak to the magical coves out around the islands in Departure Bay. Every time is a new adventure. If you catch it in the early evening and come back as the sun dips down, you may find yourself feeling like you are living in a dream as the beauty is breathtaking. This painting was inspired by one of the many photos I have taken while out exploring with my niece and nephew.

Loving this fresh poppy painting I am working on finishing. I have been so lost in prepping paintings for the new gallery opening in Oakville and also busy on a large commission piece, and I really needed to do something new and fresh to shake off all the stress. Remembrance Day is coming next month and I was determined to do a poppy painting. So here it is.

I have yet to name it. Any thoughts?

Painted this fresh new piece to be part of my exhibit at this November in Oakville Ontario. So excited to share my work with my fellow Canadians in the east. Stay tuned for details for the opening of this new and lovely gallery.

Summer has been such a busy time, filled with every emotion. Excitement, joy and laughter, sadness, grief and tears, bonding and memory making. I managed to steal some moments to create this new dragonfly piece. This is my first painting on a wood canvas. Definitely will be doing more.

Time to start preparing work for a journey back east to this fall. Excited to be have gallery representation east and west.

Been busy working on a little collection of Fantastic Fungi paintings for my upcoming exhibit at ART In The Park in Parksville this July 22,23. Such a fun detour from my usual subject matter. Now to name them all....hmmm... Any suggestions?

Started set up last night at the Home Show. Now for the big day ahead. Looking forward to this weekend of connecting with people while sharing my passion for painting. So thankful to have Jude as my sidekick keeping me sane and organized. Handy to have a spare brain to keep things running smoothly.
