A friend saw the cowboy prayer that I made for my mom and asked if I would be willing to do one for her for a dedication. Of course I said yes. This now hangs proudly in Nanaimo’s Carlos O’Bryan’s, in honour of the late founder of the company. So proud to be asked to do this. Thank you for trusting me Elaine Nelson-Hosak with this beautiful honour. This was unveiled on Sunday for the 10th year anniversary of the Nanaimo location ❤️

I just received the most beautiful phone call this morning ❤️❤️
The lady that received the cowboy prayer for her late husband’s service brought me to tears. 😭😭 She was so moved by the gift from my mom❤️❤️ She couldn’t thank me enough for making it. I am so happy that it will bring her some comfort and that she and her family will have it for years to come 🥰

Well that’s a wrap❤️. Just needs about 8 coats of sealer🙈 Black burns are hard to seal!!!

Done!!! Well maybe 🙈 now to decide Do I add colour or leave it as is🤷🏼‍♀️. What do you think?

Thank you to everyone who put their faith in me. ❤️
Some were a super challenge that were given to me. ( you know who you are🥰). Others I chose myself just to see if I could do it! I do love the challenge to see if I can get the picture in my head put down on the wood.
Thank you all again for your encouragement, likes and comments. It really means alot.

Kaspir is finished!!! Love how it turned out this time. Just waiting confirmation from client and it will get sealed. This is the first time I have reburned a portrait because I wasn’t happy with it. So glad I went with my gut and started again. The light background is the new finished one. NO grain lines🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

So much happier with how kaspir is comng togeher this time🥰 so far no dark lines are showing up!!! Keep your fingers crossed. One more day of burning and kaspir should be completed and ready to seal and head to his new home. A little late but at least I am happy with this version ❤️

Well what should have been the last burn of 2023 is now the first burn of 2024. This burn was almost finished but grain lines started showing up right down the middle of the face and just kept getting darker🤬 after trying a few different ideas from some fellow pyros into the scrap bin it went and I started again on a new piece of wood. Fingers crossed this doesn’t happen again. So far so good

If you have ever met a barrel racer you will totally understand. There is something special between the rider and the horse❤️

A few things are in the works that i cannot share until December 26. But I do have some exciting news.
I entered my turtle burn for consideration in a calendar of wood burnings and it got picked !!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ and yes I ordered a calendar. Most expensive calendar i have ever bought hahaha (dam exchange rate) but i will have it as a keepsake forever 🥰

Santa has some colour!!! Now onto trying to figure out how to burn white🙈. Getting the red not to look pink was a challenge on its own.
