Spring has sprung!🥰

This is milo, he will be staying with us while his mom is on vacation. He is a fluffy ball that is full of love, and just wants to play with the dogos, and snuggle with them and us in the couch 💕 my daughter really likes his soft curly fur haha 🥰

This sweet girl Freya just had bilateral knee surgery (both knees were done at the same time). I get the joy of giving her meds on occasion, and taking her out for p*e breaks🥰 she is just the sweetest girl, full of kisses and such a champ with the sling.🐶
Also can't forget to gives to her handsome brother when you go inside, he is also full of love and doesn't want to be left out 😉

Fleas and Ticks. Aren’t they awful? In the last few weeks we have had so many pet owners bring in animals with a tick stuck in some very unpleasant places on their pets. Or if they get fleas and the three months that it takes to try and get rid of them. Monthly flea and tick prevention is the answer.

🗑️ Compost 🗑️

Composting is a great environmental practice, but did you know it can be very toxic to our furry friends. Compost, both homemade and store bought, can be detrimental to your pet's health and it is important you seek immediate veterinary attention.

If you think your pet could have gotten into the garbage/compost, here are some signs to
watch for:
➡️ Agitation
➡️ Excessive Drooling
➡️ Fever
➡️ Vomiting
➡️ Tremors
➡️ Seizures

‼️If you suspect your pet has ingested compost, please contact your veterinarian immediately‼️

There is no antidote. Supplemental treatment is key.

Your veterinary team may start by inducing vomiting, I.V. therapy, anti-nausea medication,
muscle relaxants (for tremors), and anti-seizure medications.

In some cases, it may be recommended to call the Pet Poison Hotline: 1-800-213-6680.
