THIS SHAMPOO MIGHT BE JUST WHAT YOU HAVE ALWAYS NEEDED.

If you have issues with your hair being thin or thinning, Energizing Shampoo made in Italy by Davines, helps with this! One of the ways it helps is by stimulating circulation on your scalp using ingredients like caffeine. It promotes the growth of new hair while also strengthening fragile hairs to prevent breakage.

You can use it as an intensive treatment option by using it every second day for a month, then to maintain results use it a couple times a week for the next two months, alternating with the shampoo best suited to your hair.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WASH MY HAIR? 🛁

This will vary a little, but in general it will depend on a few factors:

If your hair gets OILY quickly, washing it every 1-2 days is a good idea. Allowing too much oil build-up can lead to a lot of scalp issues, and can even contribute to hair loss. Try washing x 2, wash rinse and wash again so your hair stays cleaner longer.

If your scalp gets SWEATY, wash it. Allowing sweat to dry on the scalp isn’t good for your hair, as the high salt content in sweat raises the acidity level of your scalp. Also, it can cause harmful bacteria to grow on your scalp and can lead to other problems.

If your hair is DRY or “NORMAL”, in general, washing your hair every 2-3 days is best. But the key is having the right shampoo and conditioner. If your hair is dry, you can still wash it consistently as long as you have a high quality moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

Washing consistently with a quality product won’t “strip” your hair - it will remove dead skin and old sebum (oil) so that the new oil can replace it without creating build-up. The really important part is having the right shampoo and conditioner for you hair. I’ve seen a huge difference in my client’s hair when they started using Davines shampoo and conditioner. Their high quality ingredients don’t skimp on moisturizing the hair. I never used to think shampoo and conditioner made that much of a difference but it really does!

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU’RE USING A QUALITY CONDITIONER?

Here are the three things to look for in a conditioner:

1) Water content - the water content should be low. Usually an indicator is the thickness of the product. The more moisturizing it is, the thicker it should be.

2) Difference in feel - you should definitely feel a difference in your hair after you rinse it out (in most cases you should leave it in for 3-5mins).

3) No S&P - (and no that’s not salt and pepper although those shouldn’t be in conditioner either lol)
Silicone (if it’s not water-soluble) and
Parabens (possible cancer-causing preservative).

It’s called rinse and repeat. That’s it, I wash it twice!
Unless you are the type of person who washes your hair every day, you will definitely benefit, like I do, from doing this little life hack.
You won’t have to use dry shampoo as much or wash your hair as often because your hair will be cleaner and stay cleaner for longer!
The first shampoo removes the excess oil buildup, product residue, and dust. The second shampoo actually gets to your scalp and directly on your hair strands to give it a thorough cleanse. Just try it. You’re welcome. 😊

LET’S PLAY A LITTLE GAME!
Who knows what the “12M” inside a picture of a container on the back of your hair product means?
If you said it’s the usable lifespan of the product then you’re correct! Comment below if you knew that already! “12M” stands for 12 months - so a year after you’ve opened your product, it’s not going to be fresh or as effective anymore.
Can you still use it? Absolutely you can, but it’s kind of like eating something after it’s best-before date. You CAN do it, it’s just not recommended.
Once you open a product it lets air in, and that starts to dry the product out and cause it to “age”. I honestly would recommend that you just try to use the product up before it’s best before date as it will work so much better for you if you use it fresh!
It’s the start of a new year and your hair is worth having fresh products to use on it that will actually do the job they’re supposed to do and do it well! Join me in going through your old products under your sink and making sure you are using products that are still good!

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET MY HAIR CUT?
I get asked this question a lot, (as you might imagine), so I thought I’d create this helpful guide. This is going to be fairly general, but it is a good rule-of thumb to follow if you’re not sure. You can always ask me, for your hair specifically, what a good timeframe is if you’re not sure.
Ok here we go!
“My hair is SHORT (above the shoulders) and I want to maintain my style.” - Haircut every 4-6 weeks
“My hair is BLONDE (it’s not natural) and I want to keep the ends healthy.” - Haircut every 4-6 weeks
“My hair is LONG and dark (past the shoulders and not artificially lightened) and I want to keep my hair healthy.” - Haircut every 6-8 weeks
“I’m trying to GROW my hair out into a different style.” - Haircut every 8-10 weeks
