As Yvette so eloquently put it, this championship demonstrates the respect and trust between responsible breeders and I have many people to thank for our 24th homebred champion 🥰

To Kim and Byron who have trusted me first by welcoming Gaby into their home 13 years ago, getting her title as novices to the conformation ring before welcoming the Arizon litter of Tuc and Rizo.
Rizo, along with myself and a lovely (then) junior handler Gracie, Rizo soon received her championship. I was granted the opportunity to include Rizo in my program and am so grateful as Rizo’s pedigree is 3/4 old Cuban bloodlines. 🇨🇺
Thanks to EAnn of Wyhaven Havanese for working with us years ago and allowing Gaby to be bred to Chan Chan ❤️🇨🇺
Health tests completed and posted to OFA, we welcomed 2 litters: the 2022 Travelling Litter and the 2023 Diva’s ❤️

Yvette always loved Dolly and I’m sure would welcome her into her home and program in a heartbeat, so when the opportunity arose that Yvette could show Dolly at Burns Lake in July, we sent her out.
Thank you Yvette for loving Dolly as your own and presenting her to the judging panel earning 4 Best of Breed placements and finishing her CKC title. 🙏🏻

Thanks also goes to a special Seda family, Craig & Marianne, who took Dolly for various exposures giving her more and more confidence. Dolly absolutely loves them all❣️

This beautiful girl shall enjoy her show retirement but you may see her sporting some performance titles. She’s such a smart and happy girl. Perhaps one day in a year or two, she’ll be able to pass on her Cuban heritage to her own littles.

💥Heat warnings are being posted all over!! BE AWARE, CRACKING OPEN A CAR WINDOW DOES NOT HELP!💥

Despite the warnings, hundreds of dogs in the U.S. & Canada die every year after being left in a hot car.

Someone you know may need to read this very important message. ⚠️🚙⚠️

SIX MINUTES is all it takes for a dog to overheat in a hot car. 🥵🐶

Your dog could suffer serious injury or die in a matter of minutes if left alone in a car.

💥The temperature inside a closed vehicle left in the sun can double within 12 minutes.

💥At least 75% of the temperature increase in a closed vehicle occurs within 5 minutes of closing the vehicle, and at least 89% of the temperature increase occurs within 15 minutes of closing the vehicle.

💥Temperatures exceeding 104˚ F can lead to death or serious injury for the occupants.

💥Temperatures in a closed vehicle sitting in the hot sun can reach 160˚F and above. An animal will suffer immeasurably and may die before the temperature reaches 150˚F.

💥Even when parked in the shade, the vehicle temperatures can exceed 104˚C.

💥Leaving windows down more than 2 inches on an unattended vehicle will not prevent a car from reaching extreme temperatures.

💥Even if the animal is revived, they can die due to severe internal organ damage.
Your dog trusts you to have their best interest at heart ALWAYS.

💥💥💥Please don’t risk their safety!!! If you are not taking your dog inside your destination with you, 💥💥💥PLEASE leave them at home where they are comfortable and safe.🐶

I saw this idea & thought it was a great one and wanted to share.

With July 1 🇨🇦 Canada Day & July 4th 🇺🇸celebrations right around the corner, make sure your dogs have proper ID collars on.

Updated contact information on their licenses, or do something similar to the picture below incase your pup gets spoked by the sound of the festivities or fireworks and runs off. This way the finder can call you right away! 🐶

We welcomed this beautiful little girl into our home to join our family a few days ago.

She was my DREAM puppy and she is always IN my dreams!!! I loved her so much! She was my Sassy Wyntr’Solstice. 🎄 born on 12/21/21

“A dream is a succession of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations that usually occur involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep” she will forever be in my heart. 🩷

Sassy taught me a lot in a very short period and for that I will forever be grateful. She is now in the most loving home. 🤩

I’m in the process of looking for a new Havanese bloodline to start my breeding program all over again.

VERY GOOD INFORMATION!!

Although adding a second dog to your home can be absolutely wonderful….you should NEVER add another for these reasons listed. Guaranteed it will backfire as the first dog will teach the bad behaviours to the new addition. Always ensure your first dog is well-mannered, well-socialized, and the home is ready for the additional work having two dogs brings.
Each dog must have individual learning and bonding time.
