Looking to keep your puppy busy? This is my current favourite enrichment toy. There’s little stuffed squirrel balls all with 1 treat under them. It keeps Legend busy - working her brain and dexterity. We switch between this one and a snuffle mat in the mornings so I can get some work done.

My litter of puppies working on their crate training. To start we feed all meals in the crates plus special treats like bones. I open the crate doors BEFORE the puppies are finished so there’s no feeling of being trapped. The crates have also been in their puppy pen without doors for weeks. This makes the crates feel like a safe and good place. Remember to go slow and keep things positive for your puppy!
My Halloween Protocol Even with 5 dogs I love handing out candy. So here I am in my Care Bear costume doing a scatter feed and then I can answer the door. I have a baby gate that keeps the dogs safe from the doorway. Navy is medicated as there’s some fireworks and she struggled with a noise phobia. I would recommend speaking with your Vet if your dog struggles with it as well. This makes for a fun and peaceful Halloween.
Gibson (Story’s son) is sleeping over tonight. Here’s an example of feeding all 6 dogs safely. If I had any big concerns I would put those dogs away before meal prep. Gibson is crate trained well so that made this process seamless. Our living peacefully with multiple dogs course (Legion of Dogs) includes all sorts of skills you can teach your dogs to make all types of situations easier including dog visitors.
Any dog can learn to play! Here’s Frankie Pickles at 16 weeks old playing and starting to retrieve! We play using a roller throw so there’s no impact on those little joints from jumping.
