Spring Break Camps. Registration is now open. Weekly camps are being offered over the two weeks of Spring Break for school district 68. Camps run in the mornings from 9am to 12pm. 8:30am Friday, January 19, 2024. Flipside will be CLOSED this morning due to snow and hazardous road conditions. Make up tokens have been issued for cancelled classes to be used up to the end of June 2024.

Open registration will begin on the 15th. Closed to all advanced and performance and new competitive programs. New annual registration/administration fees should be considered upon registration as Provincial fees have grown exponentially. Still moderate considering the welfare and safety of our children in a presented sport both in movement and flight.

Flipside Gymnastics has remained a recreational facility for these last 13 years and now altered our structure and lesson planning. We have now rejoined Gymnastics BC as a member club and will be offering new classes and programs around GymBC's provincial and national competitive planning.

We have deduced that children will now in a Post-Covid community need the thrust of a cooperative and competitive athletic challenge to bring their athletic whole to shine. We train Gymnasts. The core sport of all sports. Be it Figure Skating or Power Lifter. Strength, Endurance, Discipline, Focus, Fellowship, Planning. Flipside Gymnastics is the Core.

We have sanctioned and immigrated many coaches from around the world to achieve our direction in gymnastics education for this year. From South Africa, Dubai and India. These coaches are the very best of the best.

This year will be a Year for students to learn Gymnastics. Flipside will always remain the Flipside of Gymnastics.

A big thank you to students and parents for such an incredible fall session so far. Although we have felt the pinch of current labor shortages we have managed to run almost all classes consistently. Hiring additional coaches is ongoing and we are expecting success in the new year as more things post Covid return to some level of normal. Thank you again for business and your support.

Flipside Gymnastics is currently accepting applications for coaches at the Nanaimo location. The Nanaimo facility has seen considerable updates and is currently undergoing renovations which include new additions to the equipment and the overall facility.

Who are we looking for? All levels of instructors, part-time, full-time, any-time, supervisors and more. We are seeking responsible, enthusiastic, and qualified individuals to add to our expanding coaching staff. As we continue to expand our programs we need competent qualified staff to grow with us and our ever increasing opportunities for advancement within our organization. This individual must possess a keen interest in coaching and must be energetic, organized, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities (Able to teach beginner through advanced in preschool and recreational gymnastics while): Ensuring the safety and security of the children
actively engage children in developmentally appropriate activities
deal effectively with challenging situations, maintain good communication with staff, parents, and participants
work in a team environment.

Qualifications:

Minimum Level 1 NCCP certified (Preferred)
Emergency first aid and CPR
Criminal record check
Respect in Sport completed

Full-time and part-time positions are being reviewed.

Skills required:

Excellent interpersonal skills with an easy-going, but get the job done personality.
Ability to professionally represent company, excellent face to face and phone manner.
Reliable, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, a proven ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks.
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in working with families (parents and children).
Responsibilities:

Be excellent point of first contact to front office walk in and phone calls; administrative support, in charge of office equipment and office supplies.
Manage, obtain information from and direct calls from diverse clients.
Administrative and Accounts payable and receivable support for Finance.
Support sales and marketing department in sales campaigns, updating marketing information, preparation and planning for marketing events.
Coordinate and implement weekly staff schedules and client needs.
Support to other company departments as required.
Support for other office and administration staff.
Other duties as required.
Preference will be given to applicants with prior office experience.
