I've been working on T-shirt quilts. Both as commission and quilt tops.

The one in front of the washer was commissioned and she gave me a box of 4.5" squares plus a few shirts.

The one on the bed was actually a hand pieced quilt. The lady was recovering from surgery and made her grandson a quilt from his T-shirts.

I've been bad about sharing pictures of customer quilts so thought to show some.

I've started getting quilts in for Christmas presents so I thought I should remind customers that sooner is better for getting on your quilters queue.

Also a reminder that I have moved to 201 Craig Street in Nanaimo. Corner of Second and Craig. Fairview area.

Our neighbouthoid is having a community yard sale on that day. I recently moved and have a storage locker full of fabric. I won't live long enough to use it all, LOL, time to share. Prices will be low.

May 13: 9 am to 2 pm. Houses on Craig street are having garage sales. We at 201 Craig street will have bolts of fabric and other sewing tools.

Hello all. Yes, I am still quilting. I find it interesting that when one person calls it somehow causes me to get more calls in a week. So my schedule is filling up with wonderful quilts. Some baby, a t-shirt quilt, twins and even queen. One lady is having me do background quilting on blocks in a completed quilt. So it's always interesting though I still reject people asking for clothing repairs. Lol.

This would work great with pins too!

Last November I moved the longarm studio to Craig St and will share the exact address when accepting quilts by appointment. It's still in the general area of Harewood. I'm looking forward to seeing what my customers are working on. Take care.

I'm working away on customer Christmas quilts. The goal is to have them done this week. How the days are flying by.

I have started a list for 2023 customer quilts.

I am still doing quilts for customers and have a number with reserved spots. QF has eaten into my quilting time so it's very much part time at the moment. I appreciate your patience. 🙂

Unfortunately I won't be available to quilt for Christmas as I have no more spots left on my queue. If you are looking to get on my schedule for next year I will be taking reservations but no physical quilts yet.

Barbara Hallum is organizing a quilt bee November 6 and 20, 9-5 at Jonanco 2745 White Rapids Rd. She and the quilters at Jonanco are working on lap sized quilts for the older foster children. As a former foster child this project is dear to her heart as she knows how much a homemade gift can mean to a child who feels like they have been forgotten. So how ever much time you can help would be greatly appreciated. There will be a number of work stations so all skill levels will find a spot (cutting, layouts, sewing blocks, bindings, etc). The quilts will be taken to the ministry the first week in December. Contact Barbara at her home phone 778-327-8764.
