Following medical advice, I will be starting an early maternity leave as of this week. For those of you who know me well, this is not an easy decision.

Although sorry for the inconvenience, I am happy to announce that Dr. Yanik and Dr. Kara will be taking over Gravity Health immediately to continue with your care.

These two born and raised northern Ontario Chiropractors come with much experience, training and energy to keep you in top shape!
They will have new full-time hours to better serve you all.

Goodbyes are difficult,

It is after careful consideration that Dr. Yanik Poliquin and I have decided to transition out of our practices in New Brunswick. This decision was not an easy one. However, with this difficult goodbye comes an exciting new opportunity for us at home, in Ontario. (More details coming soon!)

We appreciate the communities of Grand Falls and Woodstock for welcoming us these past two years, it has been an absolute pleasure. We will deeply miss all of our patients and the incredible staff teams, we are so grateful to have met all of you.

Our last treatment day will be next Thursday June 24th, 2021. We would like to express a heartfelt thank you to all of our patients for entrusting us with your health care. 🐴 Allow me to introduce myself! My name is Jessica Kavanaugh and I am a small animal veterinarian and owner of Atlas Alternative Vet Care. I graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 and have been practicing in small animal general practice since then. I’ve always had an interest in veterinary rehabilitation and alternative medicine, especially veterinary spinal manipulation therapy (VSMT), more commonly known as “animal chiropractic”. I’ve seen the benefits of chiropractic care for myself, and wanted to bring the benefits of this amazing modality to my patients. I completed the VSMT certification course at the Veterinary Chiropractic Learning Centre in February 2020. Due to unforeseen circumstances, specifically a global pandemic, my plans to open my mobile clinic were postponed, but I am proud to announce that after a long wait, Atlas Alternative Vet Care will be booking small animal and large animal patients starting September 2020! PRACTICE RE-LOCATION ANNOUNCEMENT!

I am excited to announce that I will be joining the team at Capture Therapeutics - Woodstock!

Starting on August 31st, 2020 you can find me on Monday's, Wednesday's and (every other) Friday at my new location - 100 Jones Street Woodstock, NB.

To my current Woodstock patients: if you already have an appointment booked with me for September, you will keep the same appointment day and time however, it will be at the new location. I will be reaching out to you individually with details.

This decision to re-locate has been a difficult one. However, I feel that this move will allow me to better serve my patients as I will be joining a much larger inter-disciplinary health care team including; physiotherapists, kinesiologists, massage therapists, acupuncturists, dieticians and pedorthists.

To my Grand Falls patients, my location and hours will not be affected and will remain the same.

Chiropractors told to remove posts claiming they boost immune system and prevent COVID-19 | CBC News Governing bodies across Canada have issued warnings to chiropractors over claims that chiropractic care can boost your immune system and prevent infection from the novel coronavirus that has caused the COVID-19 pandemic.

**Important update - clinics remain closed**

Unfortunately, we have decided that the clinics are going to remain closed until further notice. At this time, we are cancelling all in-person appointments in order to do our part to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus. As soon as the clinics are in operation again patients will be notified.

If you feel that you require emergency care during this time please contact us. In order for patients to avoid the E.R we will be triaging and providing treatment for emergency cases as necessary. If you have any questions for me or would like to get in touch I will be available for video consultations as well as via phone and e-mail.
