Besides having an obvious flat tire, do you really know when to replace your tires?⠀

The performance of your tires will decrease as the wear on your tire decreases. This means less traction/control on wet roads⠀

⭐Check tread - good, fair, or bad? What do you see? Do the penny test: can you see the top of Abe’s head? Time for new tires. We have a post on our page showing the penny test 👍⠀

⭐Uneven wear - more tread on one side vs the other. May mean alignment &/or suspension issues⠀
⠀
⭐Sidewall of tire - and damage? This can lead to a blowout of the tire while driving. Side wall damage = new tire. Sidewalk damage cannot be repaired.⠀

⭐Cracks on tire - you want to keep an eye on this. This can allow air to seep out and cause low air pressure in your tire = tire under inflated = not good.⠀

⭐Objects in tire - is there a nail/screw in your tire? Glass, etc?⠀

These are some things to look out for when inspecting your tires. It’s recommended that you inspect your tires at least once a month. ⠀

You want to inspect your tire pressure as well. Over time, and with the temperature changes, your tire will lose air. Normally you can find the recommended psi for your tires located on the drivers door frame, or of course in your vehicles manual. Make sure to inflate your tires to that recommended level.⠀
