Maybe you just need some inspiration on KNOWING how to use what you have, and seeing how you can elevate them!

Second place to start…head to the thrift stores. We always make our way to a thrift store to search for missing items that will complete the look we’re going for. We particularly look for stemware, linens, candle holders, serving dishes…you name it!

Hey Trove Family 🤍

We wanted to share this update with you all today. We have made the tough decision to close our bakery on June 24th.

We have loved serving you and the community our passion for desserts over the last 2.5 years. This isn’t a forever goodbye, but a pivot into something new. We are keeping our brand alive and will be posting regular Instagram and YouTube content, filled with tips and tricks, and how to make amazing desserts from home.

Although we are sad about this change, we are excited for what the future holds for us.

We love you all so much, and we couldn’t have gotten this far without all your support. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to say thank you!

Most days, creating new flavours, finding new directions and avenues for growth within my business excites & motives me! I love this business that we’ve created and the work that I get to do!

Yet, mixed in with the highs and lows of the business, there is often an underlying feeling of . I question my choices. Have I taken on too much and am I missing out on the beautiful moments with my child that I will never get back, while I take on more orders, busting myself in the kitchen or responding to emails while my husband is at home with our little girl? Is my baby getting the best mom out of me or just part of one? These feelings wash over me, and I enter decision paralysis where now I can’t make a decision about anything - will I put my daughter in daycare, what should my next business move be, and what am I going to give her for dinner tonight?

The mom guilt is real all right, and the stress that I’ve always had has been amplified with this new tiny being that relies so much on me.

What brings me back down, and ends my spiral is firstly - a good nights sleep 😴, and secondly my amazing support system. My husband, mom, friends and sisters ground me and bring me back to calmness where I don’t need to have it all figured out right in this exact moment. I am so incredibly thankful for them. Their support and lots of 🙏🏻 bring me back to taking small steps and gradual changes.

As Mother’s Day approaches I want to give a big shoutout 📣 to all the amazing mothers who struggle with . Balancing their own lives and trying to fit in their own aspirations and goals while managing a house and taking care of more than just themselves. It’s a lot, and I think we all deserve a round of applause, a 💲raise, and a stunning delicious cake 🎂 covered in flowers this Mother’s Day (my vote’s for chocolate).

Tag a mamma who inspires you as they navigate through motherhood, or someone who might feel the same way. We could all use a pick me up!
