We usually always recommend trying to fit a makeup and hair preview in before the big day, but sometimes that’s impossible. Elizabeth trusted us and it turned out so beautiful! 🥰

We actually didn’t change anything, except the bride now has a beautiful sunless tan that makes the makeup look even better!

A good tip for your trial is to ensure your hair color, your tan, hair length is as similar as possible to the day of the wedding so you can truly see how the makeup and hair will look!

In this case, it turned out way better than we could have hoped- congrats again Chantal!

A simple elopement with a simple makeup and hair look. She came all the way from Toronto, so we did not have a chance to do a preview session. Her goal was to still look like herself, but also, she wanted to feel like a bride. I think we nailed it! 😉

She was also really friendly and put me at ease while doing my makeup. I was also given a kit to touchup my makeup throughout the day which turned out to be really handy.

When booking your wedding preview for makeup or hair, make sure you send your inspiration photos beforehand or have them ready. Sometimes if there is enough time, we will roughly play with a second look, but most times we only have time for one.

The bride’s first choice was half-up, however we did have some time left to try a rough up do so she can see it.

Hot tip for getting your dream wedding look with your bridal makeup and hair team:

You have to communicate with your artist or stylist!!

This means details of your dress, the venue, the florals, what you like what you didn’t like from the preview session, what you want to change, when you’re doing getting ready photos or first look- everything! We look at all of the details and also help determine how much time is needed to to finish on time for getting ready photos.
