“Changing the narrative on su***de”
Su***de is a major public health challenge, with more than 700 000 deaths each year globally. Each su***de has far-reaching social, emotional, and economic consequences, and deeply affects individuals and communities worldwide.
The triennial theme for World Su***de Prevention Day for 2024-2026 is "Changing the Narrative on Su***de" with the call to action "Start the Conversation". This theme aims to raise awareness about the importance of reducing stigma and encouraging open conversations to prevent su***des. Changing the narrative on su***de is about transforming how we perceive this complex issue and shifting from a culture of silence and stigma to one of openness, understanding, and support.
The call to action encourages everyone to start the conversation on su***de and su***de prevention. Every conversation, no matter how small, contributes to a supportive and understanding society. By initiating these vital conversations, we can break down barriers, raise awareness, and create better cultures of support.
This theme also emphasizes the need to prioritize su***de prevention and mental health in policy making, calling for government action. Changing the narrative requires advocating for policies that prioritize mental health, increase access to care, and provide support for those in need.
World Su***de Prevention Day (WSPD) was established in 2003 by the International Association for Su***de Prevention in conjunction with the World Health Organization (WHO). September 10th each year aims to focus attention on the issue, reduces stigma, and raises awareness among organizations, governments, and the public, giving a singular message that su***des are preventable.

Hey followers;
We wanted to share a GoFundMe for our friend's mother, who is currently in palliative care.
Every donation, no matter how small, can make a real difference in helping with medical expenses and essential needs during this difficult time.
If you could take a moment to check it out and consider donating or sharing the link, it would mean a lot.
Thank you! Seth & Crew

This is what my Saturday night looks like. I'm trying to get the AGM finished for 2023- 2024.
I can't believe all the things that we do. It's crazy that I work a full-time job and still managed to invest 2138 hrs alone into operations, training, capacity building, traveling, fundraising, and so much more...
Another certificate in the books to aid in our mission.
Motivational Interviewing.
Thanks, and Hands The Family Network. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to participate in this training.
Many professionals struggle with how to help support clients with making positive and healthy changes in their lives, all the while honoring their autonomy and choice.
Motivational interviewing is a widely used evidence-based approach in health, mental health, addictions, social services, justice, and developmental services.
This hands-on practical training will help you develop skills of reflective listening and empathy, resisting the righting reflex, increasing compassion, and honoring autonomy.
Participants leave with a new approach and specific skills that can greatly enhance their clients’ lives and improve their own work satisfaction, and reduce burnout.
This!!! For anyone who needs validation.
DO NOT HIDE. FEAR NOTHING...
You are LOVED!!!

It was chilly, and the rain held off, but we managed to enjoy ourselves at the 3rd Annual FAS RUN with our friends at
We met so many new friends and saw some familiar faces.
Note to self and crew: always pack for the weather.
Thanks to Xev ( one of our other volunteers ) who delivered hot beverages while we were braving the very light drizzle and high winds for keeping us warm.
This news is heartbreaking. Anya Lostun was a volunteer at OUTLoud during COVID. Her family utilized our center often. She even took in a youth to support for a period of time in her own home. We can't imagine what this family is going through.
As an organization we are sending love and strength to the family and children Ayna has left behind. Based on the obituary they wish to send donations to All Heart Pet Rescue Animals for Adoption in her memory.

Well, this was a nice surprise.

The stories these photos tell. This was tonight between 3:30pm and 6:30pm kids were sleeping in every corner. It's only the second day back to school, and it shows. The kids are exhausted.
We take pride in the environment that we have created, and the photos speak for themselves.
Safe. Trust. Comfort.
