With small steps I am grounded with more possibilities available, and believable … I can breath and look around and get my bearings. Yes, “The smallest circles first ⭕️” Richard Wagamese, Embers
SE ADV students and training team … thank you for an amazing week filled with curiosity and space for transformation ✨ Raven medicine offers us just that - the opportunity to ask questions, look around with a sense of ease, and rediscover possibilities for change🦋
Thank you to each VCMT massage therapy student who shared their wonder, questions and ideas about “Self-Care” this past Tuesday. Ojibway author, Richard Wagamese, reminds us: “Wonder is the glue that keeps everything together.” As a class circle, we explored together what self-care meant to us and invited ourselves to be with the “uncertainty” of wondering what new ideas might emerge with a building a self-care practice ✨ Thank you to Laurie and all the class members for inviting me to be part of your Professional Development class “self-care inquiry” 🦉
Winter wonder at the Royal Ontario Museum✨This fish used to swim our oceans … saaaaay whaaaat 🐠 !!!!

Winter Solstice Wisdom✨ Today I am celebrating the common light centre we all share as people, animals, trees, the waters and the earth as a whole. This is where I find a place to rest, where I sit in peace. This is where I heal- in connection. Thank you - Miigwetch 🌝

Thank you Still Moon Arts! I shared a wonder-full evening learning how to dye silk with flowers. For the scarf I made, we used marigolds🌼
I appreciated building community, meeting new people and taking time for reflection.
A heartfelt thank you to Varsha and Shahir for leading and teaching 🙏
Anishinaabe author, Richard Wagamese, in his book Embers, wrote: “HOME IS the truth you carry inside you. I wrote that a few years back, and I still believe it. Out on the porch, with coffee, a breeze and the calming scent of sacred medicines in my hair, I sit in my truth – this building, this relationship, this day, this certain and assured contact with Creator. I am home. Not just on the street but in this body, on this planet, in this universe.”

May 5 is National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous women, girls, two-spirited, and gender-diverse peoples.
May 5 is also known as Red Dress Day; a day where we wear red to remember our stolen sisters, to raise awareness of colonial and gender-based violence, and to honour the families and communities that live with the grief and anger of losing loved ones.

“The Medicine to heal and change is within us” my SFU professor, Dr. Vicky Kelly, reminded me this past winter session. “... the wisdom inside us to heal in connection with all living beings and evoke change in ourselves, and our community.”
I took this photo walking this past Sunday at Whey-ah-wichen park during a few minutes of pause in the rain. The rays of sunshine drew my attention with a flutter of excitement in my heart and a twinkle in my feet 🌞
I felt inspired ✨
When I look at the photo now and connect to my inner body, I feel a shift inside me, beginning with an exhale that brings a felt sense of peace and calmness. I am grateful to witness this lived experience of change when I allow myself to pause and listen to my body; this awareness becomes the medicine within that allows me to change in relationship with myself, the trees, the birds and the people in my community 🌲
