I wanted to share this sketch and the two different renditions of the red dress art that came from them. Also a bit of story to go with: In the realm of spirit and legend, the eagle, as a Guardian, as an Ancestor, casts a sharp gaze upon the celestial dance where the sun and moon eclipse. In the heart of the great bear, the Salmon Boy embarks on a courageous journey to the sky, where his beloved resides in spirit, under the Creator's watchful eye. Originating from Nadleh's ancient tales, he is a grandson of a giant, he embodies an immense love that forms a heart for his woman, a symbol of devotion. As the eagle's vigilant presence watches over their union, their story echoes the voices of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, honoring their memories, their lives, and spirits. Calling for justice to shine through the darkness.
