Difference Between Powder Brows and Microblading?

💙Choosing the right brow technique is crucial for the perfect look. While Microblading has its place, it's an older technique that involves making tiny cuts with a blade in the skin to create hair-like strokes. It can be suitable if you have very sparse or no eyebrow hair at all, but it's very invasive. It can even leave scars if done unprofessionaly!🙃
💙On the other hand, Powder Brows, which I specialize in, represent a modern, refined approach. This technique uses a machine to gently implant pigment in the upper layers, resulting in a soft, powdery makeup effect. It’s less traumatic to the skin, offering a more even and long-lasting coloration. Suitable for all skin types, Powder Brows don't carry the same risk of scarring as Microblading. Plus, they provide a fuller, more defined brow that maintains a contemporary look over time.
💖In summary, while Microblading could be considered for those lacking natural brow hair, it's important to be aware of its invasive nature due to the blade cuts. It’s a reminder before the procedure💜

* DO NOT Have ANY facial treatments prior to your appointment for one month this includes: BOTOX, LASER, FILLERS, CHEMICAL PEELS, (COSMETIC SURGERIES ETC for 6 weeks prior to your appointment .

* Avoid alcohol or caffeine prior to the procedure, this will minimize any oozing or swelling after the procedure.

* Getting a procedure while on your menstrual cycle can make the treated area more sensitive.

* You have to be off Accutane for 1 year. NO Exceptions!

* If you have oily skin, your results WILL appear softer and may require additional procedures.!!

* Do NOT take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E and/or Ibuprofen unless medically necessary, 48-72 hrs prior to your procedure. Tylenol is fine.

How does powder shading differ from microblading? 🙂
Microblading is a very outdated technique. It's a traumatic method that can leave behind scars and scarring. This technique uses small blades that essentially cut the skin. When pigment is implanted incorrectly, it's often done deep and in a traumatic manner. It also has nothing to do with hair-stroking techniques. The healing process often results in a blurred and dirty appearance.😔

Powder shading is a more modern technique. In this method, cartridges and needles are used to introduce pigment into the skin. Pigment is applied superficially, beneath the basal membrane in the dermis😀. During the healing process, it leaves a shadow imprint on the skin, looking natural and accentuating your features. Powder shading doesn't eliminate the need for bold evening makeup; your brows will never become tiresome. 💜They heal as if you've applied eyebrow makeup with shadows or a pencil. In my work, I also use mineral pigments that never degrade into blue, gray, or red brows in the skin. They simply lighten over time and fade away.🫶🤩🤩

If you're worried that the healing process for your brows is something dreadful and that you won't be able to leave the house for a week, let's dispel that myth.💜

After the procedure, your brows will, of course, appear bolder and wider. This is entirely normal and shouldn't be a cause for concern.🤗 On the 4th or 5th day, when minor flaking appears, it will be hardly noticeable, and it won't interfere with your regular life. You can comfortably go to work and carry on with your usual activities. In the photo below, you can see how mild the flaking is, and it's quite comfortable to wear🌸🫶.

Why do we need a touch -up session ?🤨

During the initial procedure, I observe how the skin accepts the pigment.

During the initial procedure, I always choose a slightly lighter color and slightly less pigment so that during the healing process, I can see how the specific skin undertone reacts to the pigment and how much pigment it retains. It's generally better if the remaining pigment from the first procedure is lighter than what you may desire later.😁

After 1-2 months, during the touch-up session, we assess how the skin has healed, the remaining pigment, specifically in your individual case. Since we are all unique, everyone's healing process differs.

During the touch-up session, we address any gaps or areas that may need additional color and intensity for your eyebrows. After the touch-up session, you will enjoy your permanent makeup for 1-2 years. 🙏🏻😃
