*Self-Care Share alert! This month, we’re highlighting some of the best Self-Care Practices for Pelvic Floor Health.
This week, we’re focusing on deep breathing exercises to relax and strengthen your pelvic floor muscles.
Exercise:
•Find a quiet, comfortable place to sit or lie down.
•Place one hand on your chest and the other on your abdomen.
•Take a slow, deep breath in through your nose, letting your abdomen rise while keeping your chest still.
•Exhale slowly through your mouth.
•Repeat for 5-10 minutes, focusing on the rise and fall of your abdomen.
Tip:
Deep breathing helps reduce stress and tension in the pelvic floor. Practice this daily to see improvements in relaxation and muscle control.
THE SUMMER OF SELF CARE!
1. Enjoy seasonal fruit and veggies high in fibre like berries, watermelon, peaches, leafy greens to support digestive health and prevent constipation.
2. Stay hydrated – carry a reusable water bottle with you on the go as you enjoy summer to keep your urinary tract in shape– aim for 8oz daily.
3. Incorporate low-impact outdoor summer activities: walking, swimming, and cycling to maintain pelvic floor strength.
Summer is a great time to use your physio benefits if you’re considering treatment at UROSPOT. Especially if you’re a teacher who has been out of the classroom for a while. It’s time to celebrate you!
We’re continuing to open more doors to restore more pelvic floors! Our newest location is in Ancaster, Ontario!
MOVEMENT IS MEDICINE. Motion is lotion. Incorporating regular physical activity, like walking, is important for keeping a healthy pelvic floor.
Remember to take a moment to breathe deeply and relax your body, incorporating stress-relief techniques. Taking deep breaths will also ease the pressure in your belly if you are experiencing the urge to p*e.
Did you know? Pelvic floor health is impacted by posture. Sit tall and straight to reduce strain. This will help reduce falls and injuries.
Boosting your pelvic floor health is wealth! We have so much gratitude for our clients and are grateful when they provide testimonials. Sharing is caring!

Doing core exercises, such as controlled breathing, can train the pelvic floor muscles to respond to the increased pressure, preventing them from bearing down excessively.
Understanding pelvic health is essential for overall well-being. Did you know...the pelvic floor muscles act like a hammock that supports the organs and helps maintain proper function. It affects everything from posture to core strength to balance.
If you’ve had treatment at UROSPOT, you know what it means to restore freedom and confidence. But just like any other time you work out your muscles, you have to maintain the gains to keep things fit. Most clients come back every 3-4 months for treatment. Not because we say so, but because your body does.
We’ve got a team dedicated to helping you. And while they’re doctors and founders, they’re also a bit like mom – telling you to eat more broccoli, less red meat and less high fat dairy. Diet changes plus activities like walking, swimming, and cycling can hep reduce the risk of prostate issues.
It’s National Continence Week and we are here to celebrate the freedom that’s possible for men at UROSPOT!
Consultations are complimentary.
Happy Father’s Day from our family to yours.
The pleasure is also ours J

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle can play a significant role in managing chronic pain and muscle tension as well as improving ED. This includes a healthy diet. Think fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Avoid excessive caffeine, alcohol and spicy or acidic foods.
Did you know that certain pelvic floor functions such as chronic pelvic pain and muscle tension can potentially contribute to or exacerbate ED? The good news is Kegels aren’t just for women, and KEGEL EXERCISES can help strengthen and improve the function of the pelvic floor muscles. Mindfulness and relaxation technique like deep breathing exercises are key too.

We’ve been there. This is more common than you may think. Hormone changes like low levels of estrogen can cause vaginal dryness after birth. This can lead to pain with pe*******on. Also, if you experienced vaginal tearing of any degree during birth, or if you had an episiotomy, you may have scar tissue that can make s*x more painful. With these changes can come a loss of identity – not feeling like yourself or like you’re in your own body. We can empathize and we are here to help get you back to 100%.
We agree. Sleeping through the night makes so many things right.

We’ve been there. It’s why UROSPOT CEO Erin Craven started the company. We combine technology, health-coaching and education to help you restore your pelvic floor and live life with confidence.
