Join us tomorrow night (Thursday at 7:00) as Dr David Smith, a Baha'i for more than 50 years talks about the concept of "true religion".
What is religion and What do we Think About it?
Although there is no consensus on the definition of religion by scholars of religious studies, sociologists and anthropologists, it seems everyone has some thoughts and ideas about what it is. So, what is it we call religion? Are our concepts about it accurate? Do we hold assumptions at variance with what religion really is or could be?
Join us for our weekly forum with guest Dr. David Smith, as he explores thoughts and ideas about true religion based on the Baha’i writings, in which Abdul- Baha states, “Religion is not a series of beliefs, a set of customs”, and “The religion of God is one religion, but it must ever be renewed.”
Dr. Smith is a Paediatric Ophthalmologist practicing for the past 50 years. He also became a Baha’i over 50 years ago and has served the Faith both locally and internationally. All are welcome.
