The unit we train with is the same technology as a Tens unit.

I just felt like sharing because over the last month I've been nursing a pretty interruptive injury on my entire foot.

At my whits end, having tried almost everything with very slow progress, I found myself doing this with my boarders ecollar 🫣 let me just say I am NOT an expert- I simply heard from a few other trainers that they have used their dog's ecollars to help knee, back, and other pain issues....

I then thought back to my chiropractor/acupuncturist and put two and two together.

After just 2 days using the ecollar I couldn't believe the amount of relief I got and the reduction in swelling and numbness...

Then someone told me I should do it properly, and get a unit meant for this type of therapy 😂 so I did!

Let me just say, I highly recommend for acute or chronic pain! I am not recommending you all go use your dogs ecollars! But I AM reminding you that these "shock" collars that some people may perceive, are not the quality units that we have access to today.

I was able to adjust the stimulation level on the ecollar to match my tolerance, blood pressure level, and sensitivity, WHICH BY THE WAY changes upon each day! Day 1 I was using a 23 to a 26 on the remote, day 2 I was using a 12 to an 18.

Just like our dogs, you adjust as per the situation, arousal level, and if you are teaching or removing a behaviour.

All the more reason, of course, you should always consult a professional, or someone with experience in these tools.

Just a friendly reminder...humans use these every day, pay for these professional treatment therapies. They're 100% safe & humane when used properly- on ourselves or our dogs!

Don't listen to everything you hear-many are just uneducated or stuck in their ideologies. Keep an open mind, it may surprise you ✨️

Just ask anyone who has ecollar trained their dog, you'll get a consistent answer 😉 (hint: "game changer" or "life changing")

To all you dog owners out there: bear in mind, there's so many little things you can simply just STOP doing with your dog, versus START doing with your dog to create massive positive behavioural changes (though a combination is usually beneficial)...it doesn't always have to be an exhausting & daunting task. sometimes.

Joyful tip: Don't forget to video tape yourself interacting with your dog-whether to just review yourself, or show another more experienced set of eyes...the micro things you may notice may surprise you.

You don't need to pay hundreds or thousands of dollars to identify these things either 🙃

Just a lovely email from a client with a tough Norfolk Terrier! 🥰 I love when the dogs AND humans feel stress relief! Always my main goal! Two doggies in the same household were not living comfortably 🤦🏻‍♂️ of course there are several aspects to address! But the issue of their 12 year old terrier being able to be safe and comfortable and not bullied upon in his own house is a great start!

For those of you with senior doggies, I offer affordable senior walking/sitting rates! If your pooch is 10+ and in need of attention, exercise, walking, or you're going away, I got you guys covered at an affordable cost 🥰 the seniors are just as important as the puppies!

I am new to the whole "page" and the logistics of uploading photos and videos neatly and organized! For the time being, I like to document, share, and show the unedited footage of my time with the doggies. We all are imperfect, that's what makes us human and gives us the capability of learning and evolving as time and circumstances move forward.

For the time being, (until I get a bit better at managing this page) I will share photos/videos via Google photos links and I will update them regularly. Welcome to my Joyful Dog platform! Where I use various behavioural techniques to help dog owners and lovers create proper balance in their home and lives. I use personal experience, mixed with several techniques I have studied through my experience with animals in my life, especially horses!

Just starting out here...I have a year or more of photos, videos and documentation but I am just figuring out how to share in an organized fashion! Testing out first by sharing this link. Cooper is my newest case and project. I will organize photos and videos as I fiddle more with the process but in the meantime, please let me know that you can clearly view these videos.
