OAK’s Swim Revolution 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

It is our pleasure to welcome and introduce 3 new professional coaches joining the OAK Team.

Coach Paige Miller: Amongst many of her impressive accolades, Coach Paige is Canadian record holder and 4 times Canadian National Champion. Her legendary swimming skills are mirrored by her coaching prowess that has seen her guide multi-level athletes to national and international success.

Coach Mike Pickard: Mike has been involved with competitive swimming for over twenty years. He has vast experience coaching novice to international level swimmers, including a Youth Olympic gold medallist, Canadian National age group record holders, and numerous provincial medallists. Coach Mike was awarded the Ontario age group coach of the year and was selected to coach team BC at Canada Games.

Coach Stephanie Schweigl: Bringing 20+ years of competitive swimming and coaching experience, Coach Stephanie brings extensive technical expertise to our team. Coupled with exceptional motivational skills, she fosters a positive and inspiring training environment, empowering swimmers with confidence.

We would like to take a moment to say thank you and farewell to the coaches who are moving onto new adventures: Coach Chris, Coach Melanie and Coach Thushani. We wish you all the best for your future endeavours.

Bonjour, France! 🇫🇷 Katie and have arrived in Vichy to begin their staging camp before the Paralympics in Paris. This camp is all about perfecting those strokes and adjusting to the new time zone, getting ready to bring their best to the world stage! 💪 🇨🇦

🚀 Big cheers for our long-distance stars! Megan hit an all-time 5th place in the 1500 Free, and Oliver earned a 6th! Amazing job, your dedication is truly inspiring 👏

📣 The grant will enable us to construct a changeroom, enhancing accessibility, privacy and security for athletes and members. We are deeply appreciative of the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s support.

🚀 Adam Wang’s 50 Breaststroke time not only earned him first place this season but also secured 4th in our all-time Top 10!🔥

🌍✈️ Last season Oakley and Flip took their first international adventure, visiting Barcelona, Orlando, Edmonton and Windsor. They made unforgettable memories and spread cheer everywhere they went. They are excited for next season’s team travels! 🔜 🌎
