Single Leg Strength is the key to almost every sport as almost all are played on 1 leg.
You skate 1 leg at a time. You sprint 1 leg at a time.
Here’s , a great Track athlete performing a Single Leg Squat with amazing control and range of motion.
Those videos you see of athletes Back Squatting massive weight through partial ranges of motion….can’t do this at all.
Train to be athletic. Full range of motion. Balance, stability, mobility, single leg strength, core stability.

We had a lot of fun in the 1st 6 week session before the Shooting Clinic and the players got jacked!
Split Squat with 3 plates.
He’s 2 weeks away from heading to camp so we’re keeping the intensity high but the volume low.
This way he maintains his strength and power he’s built the last 4 months but will still feel fresh and ready to go instead of beat up by high volume workouts.
Also a prime example of Bilateral Deficit, meaning no way he could squat over 600lbs yet here he is Split Squatting 315lbs each leg.
