We are incredibly excited to be welcoming Dr. Meredith Garcia to the Oakpark family!

Dr. Meredith graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2021 after earning her degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Guelph. When not in the clinic, Dr. Meredith enjoys spending her time outside. She loves working with animals, and hopes to foster/adopt her own furry friend in the future!

Last but certainly not least - Steph is our amazing technician lead! She has a passion for helping animals and provides the best care to each patient that enters the clinic. She works great under pressure and is an amazing teacher/mentor. You will often find Steph in surgery and ensuring that the day stays organized and each patient is cared for. Janna has been at Oakpark for many years (since 2002) and we are so lucky to have her part of our team! She is always calm and positive, and you will never see her without a smile on her face. April has been at Oakpark for almost 5 years. She is the sweetest person and constantly has a smile on her face. She always walks into the clinic with such positivity and will go out of her way to make you laugh/smile. She is extremely compassionate and has such a big heart for our furry little friends! Inka has been at Oakpark for a few years now and is currently at school to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. When Inka is not working in the back with the technicians you will often find her helping out our reception team or assisting our vets with their exams! Inka is a hard worker and always eager to learn new things. She truly cares about each patient that enters the clinic! Thank you Inka! ❤️

Mackenzie has been at Oakpark for quite a few years now. She started as a kennel attendant, then moved to the client service team, and finally began training to become a technician two years ago now! Mackenzie is always saying yes, she’s very hands on and is constantly asking questions because she loves learning new things. She absolutely loves working with animals and it shows in everything she does. Thank you Mackenzie! 💛🫶🏼

Leslie has been part of our technician team for a number of years now, however, prior to being a tech she started as a veterinary assistant. You will typically find Leslie helping out our doctors in surgery. She is always so calm, compassionate, and full of knowledge. Leslie is amazing with all the dogs and cats that enter the clinic and she truly has the biggest heart! Thank you Leslie!! 🫶🏼❤️

Savana is the other newest member to the technician team. Savana can do just about anything she puts her mind to. She started off working as a kennel attendant, then became a member of the client service team, and now training to be a technician! She is so hands on with all the patients that step foot in the clinic and is very eager to learn. Thank you Savana!! ❤️🫶🏼

Saved this gem for last - she is so precious to us at Oakpark and I know what so many look forward to when they come in!

Karen had been with the practice since day 1 and she pure perfection. She is the first to greet you when you make your way into the lobby, she knows all the clients by name (their children and pets too), she is the one holding hands when families have to say goodbye to their pets and always helping and providing guidance in anyway she can. She is best know for that Scottish accent and to us she is Scottie.

We are so lucky to have her and as a team she is our glue, she keeps us all doing our best through her mentoring and unconditional support everyday.

Funny story, Dawn actually worked for Dr. Matt when he first started up the practice on Trafalgar Rd. Fast-forward to present day and she came back to join our service team!

Dawn loves our client but mostly loves their four legged “floofs”. Dawn brings a calm to the front during those busy times that is invaluable and always shares the voice of reason when we are problem solving.

When she is not at OPPH you will find her hanging with her family and walking her two rescues, Lenny and Bodhi.

Near and dear to all our hearts is Savana. She began as a part-time high school student just helping answer the phones after school & did an amazing job. And then…

COVID hit and she showed us what she was made of!

Savana was made of grit, teamwork and perseverance. She came in and greeting clients curb-side, she answered the endless calls, she helped change the way we practiced so we could keep going. Most of all she showed up everyday despite all the unknowns!

This young lady is going to do big things. For now we will just keep her our little secret so she can keep crushing it with our team as the other half of the dynamic duo Kendra & Savana 🫶🏼🫶🏼
