Join us for a day of music, food, and fun at the first Saffella Festival, where Canada meets South Africa! Experience the rhythm of diverse tunes, savor delicious South African dishes, shop at the vibrant market, and enjoy activities for kids. Let’s celebrate the end of the summer and the start of the school year together. Make new friends, and create unforgettable memories amidst the lively beats and friendly vibes. See you there! The Saffella idea was born from an unwavering commitment to support those in need. In alignment with this commitment the first Safella festival is all about the local community, we would like to share that all the proceeds from Pancake sales, crochet vendor proceeds, 50/50 raffle, silent auction along with other sales will go towards the Monique Mackie GofundMe foundation. Many of you ask about, pray for, help and support Monique Mackie and her family. A valuable member of our South African community, a mom, wife and dear friend, and putting up the bravest fight of her life against her stage 4 cancer diagnosis. The weather may not have cooperated on Saturday, but we are so grateful to everyone who came out to support our Minis tournament. To all the teams who made the trip out to Oakville, thank you, and let's make good on that rain check. And to our club volunteers who showed up in the pouring rain to help park cars, setup signs, organize events, direct teams to fields, and so much more, you are the spirit of our club and we couldn't be more proud to call you CRU Family. To our event sponsors @5driveinoakville And @cobsbreadgeorgetown Thank you! Your support and generosity are so much appreciated. A special thank you to Mayor Rob Burton @rhburton who didn't let a little rain stop him from coming out to support us as we hosted 55 rugby teams from across the GTA and SWO regions. Rugby is so much more than an amazing sport. It's a family. 💛🖤
