The Centre for Elder Research is collaborating on a research project entitled Testing a New Approach to Monitor Mild Cognitive Impairment and Mental Health in Older Adults at the Community Level in partnership with the Ontario Brain Institute, Winterlight Labs, and Soul Machines. This project seeks to investigate the feasibility, acceptability, and performance of two technologies for monitoring changes in cognitive function and mental health in older people.

Researchers at Sheridan's Centre for Mobile Innovation (CMI) are developing an online platform that provides an easy way to check on your loved ones’ daily activities via a simple mobile app. The app allows you to remain connected 24/7 to enhance their quality of life.

A gentle reminder that the Sheridan Centre for Elder Research in collaboration with John Laugesen, Professor in the Sheridan Pilon School of Business, is conducting a study that may aid older adults in their use of the Internet to help manage their health. As part of this research, we are now recruiting participants to complete a survey that asks participants questions regarding their Internet use, Internet Health Information and Virtual Physician Appointments.
The survey will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. Participants will have the opportunity to be entered into a random draw for one of five $100 gift cards. If you are 60 years of age or older we invite you to click on the link below to complete the survey.
