A Therapeutic Approach to Yoga - coming to this September with .mathiasen

In these classes, we will explore optimal ranges of motion for the spine, hips, and shoulders to increase mobility and stability and to decrease pain. You will begin to understand how you may be moving with compensations in the body and how that can create excessive tension and possible pain. As you uncover some of these patterns and explore moving differently, you may find your pain is reduced and you are able to move with more ease. You will also learn how to cultivate relaxation through the exploration of breath.

In Yoga Strong and Functional Flow, we build on these foundational principles to build strength while maintaining a mindful approach to movement.

Tomorrow is a big day for the Okotoks Dawgs as the West Division Semifinals begin.
As our local baseball team heads into playoffs, we want to send them some love and support.
They play their 1st game at home here in Okotoks against the Lethbridge Bulls. Hopefully, you can head on down to Seaman Stadium to cheer on the Dawgs… Don't forget to wear red or any Dawgs swag you have.

When I asked Ethan earlier this week how he was feeling before the adjustment, he said “Great.” So I asked what he was hoping to get from the adjustment today. He said “I want my body to be at its best for the tournament this week.”

We want to give a big shout out to .s.renaud for making the PBR Junior Futures Team Canada. Last year Ethan was the 13U AAA player of the year in Alberta! This week he is representing Canada in Georgia to take on several teams from the USA.

We love working with Dawgs academy players trying to help them reach their dreams. That’s the Thrive difference. We not only want to help athletes recover from injuries, but we also want to help them proactively prevent injuries and perform at their absolute best.
