📉 June Market Stats 📉
The market has changed quite a bit over the last several weeks. The Bank of Canada made its much anticipated rate reduction announcement in June, and it definitely showed us a new market - but not necessarily the way most had anticipated it would go
Here is what we’re seeing!
🏠 There is more inventory than we’ve seen in months
💰 There are fewer Buyers than there is inventory
🛑 Offer dates are not as popular - often presenting single, or no offers at all
🚫 We are seeing a lot of terminations and relistings at lower prices
🗓️ Houses are on the market longer than we are most recently accustomed to
So what does all this mean?
BUYERS - prime opportunity for you is NOW. With more inventory you have more to choose from, fewer competing offers, offers being accepted with conditions, and flexibility from Sellers to negotiate pricing.
SELLERS - Understand the market, know that your house likely isn’t going to sell in 1 days, be realistic about expectations, and ensure your Agents have a solid marketing plan and experience working a Buyers market!
