Oh What a Night!

Our New Life Spring Gala Fundraiser was a huge success! On Saturday, the beautifully-decorated LVIV Ukrainian Hall in Oshawa was packed with community supporters, including our MPP Jennifer French, her husband Jon Arnold and City Councillor, Derek Giberson, who were treated to a fine dining experience with live musical performances.
It was a moving experience, seeing a community coming together, actively participating in an event that will help transform lives of those in need.
A big thank you to all our volunteers, sponsors and donors who contributed to the success of this Event!

We are so thankful to the Oshawa Generals U10AAA hockey team for coming out and helping sort food donations. We were also blessed with food, winter clothing, and diapers for those in need. Over 2 days all the winter clothing was given away to those that needed it so they could stay warm during the cold winter months. Thank you for your support!

I am so thankful to the Oshawa Lady B’s softball team U18 for coming up and volunteering their time. They worked very hard sorting food and putting it away. They also put together food hampers for underprivileged school children so they have food for the weekend. They also made donations of food to help those school children. I feel so blessed to have their help. A big shout out to them. Thank you so much!

We are so thankful to the Oshawa Lady Generals Girls U13 A Hockey team for volunteering their time and helping put together hygiene bags. These bags are given out on a monthly basis to women in need. These bags are separate from our other hygiene bags that we do on a quarterly basis for all our clients. These items are very costly and we are happy to be able to provide them. This would not have been possible without the help of these girls. As you can see they made a gigantic donation of diapers that will help so many families take care of their babies. Thank you so much for making a difference.

A big thank you to the Coloma family and the Nerds on Site team for their continued support of the New Life Neighbourhood Centre through their annual Nerds on Site Food Drive. They have been such a blessing to those in need. Their Food Drive last Sunday brought in 1,400lbs of food🙏

Thank you to Nofrills (Agostino and Nancy) for allowing the Nerds on Site the space at their store for this event. Also a big Thank You to the donors who contributed to the food drive. There is a tremendous need in our community. We have seen the number of people relying on our Foodbank doubled over the last couple months.

So on behalf of New Life Neighborhood Centre, thank you everyone for your help in making a difference.

We are so thankful to the Eagles Girls U15 softball team for coming in and not only donating food but offering their time to help sort our food room. They also helped organize our freezers. They worked hard to assemble food boxes for needy children.
