work in progress for day 8... this piece will be a multi-day process. this is a study of Mughal ornamentation in miniatures/manuscripts. I am plotting out the basic composition in pencil on graphed paper, then I will transfer it in ink onto printmaking paper.

This geometric motif is called a 'triskele', I used a lot of Celtic motifs in these pieces, mostly from the Book of Kells--which is the single greatest piece of artwork ~*~EVER ~*~ MADE FIGHT ME I WILL NEVER BACK DOWN AAAARGH!!!!!
